Dear Pilgrim Friend

Now is the acceptable time.”, teaches us St. Paul. II. Cor. vi, 2

Time to join friends and fellow pilgrims for a day of recollection – Saturday, March 11, at St. Stephen of Hungary Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Veteran Chaplain-Fathers Joseph Favole and David Lopez, FSSP will direct meditations throughout the day on the spirituality of Jesuit St. René Goupîl, a patron of the pilgrims.

Our Chaplains will ‘unpack’ the letter of St. Isaac Jogues, which recounts the life, sufferings, and martyrdom of St. René in the summer of 1642.

The day begins with sung Mass at 8:00 A.M., followed by light breakfast, spiritual talks, fellowship, lunch, and opportunities for prayer. All free of charge.

But you must reserve a spot asap. It’s quick (painless!) and easy.

Just click here to tell organizers whether you are coming or not.

Please also let us know now whether you are still unsure, and will decide later.

Will you need accommodations to stay over-night – also gratis – with local pilgrims and families Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday? Tell us when you reserve your place, here.

Organizers have stipends to give to the first pilgrim-organizers to ask, to help defray the cost of travel for those coming from afar.

Ask for help when reserving your spot, asap. (First come, first served.)

And see this post on the blog for details.

The day is open to all aspiring and veteran pilgrims. Those thinking about whether to join the organization that administers the annual pilgrimage will find the day especially informative.

Meditations will help to answer the question for every pilgrim, especially members of the Co. of St. René Goupîl: “What does it mean to be a free Christian servant to pilgrims, or a 'plain-vanilla' pilgrim, in the manner of St. René who was a slave on his pilgrimage in August & September of 1642?”

See you there?
