• Running late for work due to clocks not being reset, causing you to speed and potentially get into an accident. If you are running late to work, make the phone call to your manager BEFORE you begin to drive so you are not distracted or panicked. Pay attention to school zone speed limits and bus stops.
  • Do not attempt to do other tasks to finish getting ready for work while you are driving.
  • There may be a difference in daylight when driving to/from work. This could cause wildlife to be more active during the hours in which you are commuting. Stay alert.
  • Insufficient sleep (due to our internal clocks needing to adjust) could cause lapses in judgements or inattention to hazards on the job.
  • Your reaction time is reduced when you are fatigued. Avoid operating heavy equipment, machinery, or power tools if you are drowsy.
