Carrollton debate powerhouse wins 13th state title

Nine Carrollton High School students competed in the Georgia Forensics Coaches Association state competition Saturday and brought home the championship trophy.


CHS debate coach Richard Bracknell said the team had a strong showing in the Public Forum Debate. "Team captain Mark Zimmer was a great source of stability for the team - he is the only senior this year," he said.

Career fair at CUES helps prepare students for future

Carrollton Upper Elementary School sixth-grade students had a great experience learning about career opportunities at the career fair last week.

CES Math Team students head to national competition

The CES Math Team competed last month. Two groups (pictured above) are headed to the national competition in May after a strong showing at the event. The students will compete against other teams around the country.

CHS senior receives QuestBridge Scholarship to attend Davidson College

A Carrollton High School senior who has hopes of becoming a pediatric physician has received a full scholarship to Davidson College - a prestigious liberal arts college with an acceptance rate of less than 18 percent. E'Layiah Ackles is a QuestBridge Match Scholarship recipient.

Seventh-grade science students are learning about DNA. This week, they made DNA-shaped treats to enjoy!

Two CHS students chosen as Carroll EMC 2023 Washington Youth Tour delegates

Carroll EMC annually selects local high school students to receive an all-expenses-paid, weeklong educational trip to Washington, D.C., as a participant in the Washington Youth Tour, and this year, two Carrollton High School students were selected. Eli Jarrett and Audrey Browning will join dozens of students from other electric cooperatives in Georgia to represent the state at the annual event which brings more than 1,500 teenagers from across the country to the nation's capital.
