Good afternoon

Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. each day, expect one daily closure, lasting about 10 minutes, on Route 4 South, shortly after the I-95 South Exit 24B, and delays for about 20 minutes on I-95 South. The I-95 ‘Missing Move’ and Quonset Ramps Construction, North Kingstown/East Greenwich

As a reminder, starting Thursday, April 9, for about two months, we need to temporarily close Route 4 South at its ramp from I-95 South (Exit 24B) for blasting activities associated with bedrock removal along the pathway where the new ramp between I-95 North and Route 4 South will be built. These temporary closures are scheduled weekdays between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for about 10 minutes per day. During this operation, all lanes on I-95 South will remain open to traffic, but motorists should expect backups along I-95 South to Cowesett Road for about 20 minutes each day. Please plan extra time for travel or seek alternate routes.

On Friday night, April 10 at 9 p.m., through Saturday morning, April 11 at 5 a.m. we will set up a new traffic pattern on Route 4 North to create a safe work zone to build a new left-hand exit for I-95 South. All three lanes will shift to the right along Route 4 North approaching Exit 9A (Division Street East.) Once in place, they will shift back to their original alignment prior to merging with I-95 North. To establish this new traffic pattern, we need to close Exit 9B (Division Street West) off Route 4 North, with motorists following a signed detour via Centerville Road.
