Thinking about upgrading your landscaping this season?
Consider eco-friendly options like installing a rain barrel, building a rain garden, or planting native trees. You could be eligible for up to 50% reimbursement of materials and installation costs through the Johnson County ‘Contain the Rain’ program!
The City Council approved a zoning regulation that will pave the way for a Utility-Scale Solar Facility on the southern edge of Astra Enterprise Park. The area was selected because it is heavily timbered -- providing a natural screen -- and will be buffered by approximately 2,000 acres of passive-use parkland.
The City Council approved a 5% water rate increase and a 4% sewer increase at last night's Council meeting.
The increase, which will take effect immediately, accounts for inflation and an increase in the price of lime. Read about the increase, including options for utility assistance, here.
