DeMatha Director of Marketing and Communications

As I begin my new role as Director of Marketing and Communications at DeMatha, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here. Long before I joined the staff, DeMatha was already an important part of our family's story. I first came to know the school as a parent, volunteer, and active member of the DeMatha community.

Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of working closely with the nationally recognized DeMatha Music Program, supporting its social media and communications. During that time, my husband, Steve, and I watched our two sons, Brandon '24 and Andrew '26, grow as student musicians in the Wind Ensemble and Voices of DeMatha and as athletes in crew and rugby. Those experiences gave our family a firsthand appreciation for the faith, brotherhood, and traditions that make DeMatha special.

Professionally, my career and volunteer service have taken me through several industries, each strengthening the skills I now bring to DeMatha. I earned a B.S. in Business - Marketing from Indiana University and MBA with a concentration in Marketing from DePaul University. Throughout my career, I have focused on building relationships, developing marketing strategies, planning events, and communicating with purpose. I also enjoy mentoring future leaders and currently serve as a Chapter Advisor for my sorority at the University of Maryland.

Now I'm excited to help share the stories that make DeMatha exceptional, celebrating the accomplishments of our students, faculty, alumni, and families while highlighting the mission and traditions that continue to shape generations of Stags. It is especially meaningful to begin this journey as DeMatha celebrates its 80th Anniversary in the coming year, honoring the school's legacy while looking ahead to its future.

If you have a story to share, an idea to highlight, or simply want to introduce yourself, I'd love to hear from you. Please don't hesitate to reach out at jcibor@dematha.org.

Go Stags!
