Class Reunions

Class of 1975 I 50 Year Reunion

On Friday, October 10th, the Class of 1975 reunited to kick off their 50th Class Reunion, beginning with a beautiful Mass of Remembrance at Flarity Hall Chapel, while honoring classmates who have passed.

They took a nostalgic tour of our school, revisited old classrooms and lockers, and spent time reminiscing and reconnecting. The celebration continued with a joyful evening of delicious food, great music, and the rekindling of old friendships. A heartfelt thank you to the planning committee for setting up such a special weekend to celebrate with their classmates all together!

Class of 1980 I 45 Year Reunion

The Class of 1980 also celebrated its 45th Class Reunion in Asbury Park at the Deal Lake Bar + Company this past fall!

“Once a Spartan, Always a Spartan.”

Do you have a milestone reunion coming up? We are happy to host you at DePaul Catholic! Please contact our Advancement Team for more information.

Homecoming & Alumni Family Night

This year's Homecoming game was played on Friday, September 26th, versus Paramus Catholic. The game ended in triumph, and we celebrated and welcomed many alumni back to campus. Our alumni enjoyed celebratory activities throughout the evening, including a catered event sponsored by IL Palazzo restaurant in Wanaque. We also celebrated Senior Night for our football and cheerleading Seniors. Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Homecoming!

Alumni Spotlight

This past September, the DePaul Catholic Football team traveled to Olney, Maryland, for a pre-game dinner before playing Our Lady of Good Council. The team had the opportunity to practice the night before at the University of Maryland's Football Training Facility. The team also sat in Adoration and attended a Mass led by Father Frank Lennie at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Thank you, Class of 1980 alumnus Greg Haraka, for establishing this opportunity for Spartan football, and to William Kohl, Class of 1980, for attending the game with DePaul Catholic's President, Ted Gaffney, Class of 1982. Go Spartans!

9 & Dine

Thank you to our alumni and friends of DePaul Catholic who participated in this year’s 9 & Dine golf outing. The day was spent creating long-lasting memories on Preakness Valley Golf Course, followed by a fantastic dinner that included presentations by DePaul Catholic seniors, Claire Link and Jayden Watson, as well as Class of 1975 alumnus, Nancy McGrady. We would like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s 9 & Dine event.

Spartan Invitational

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Spartan Invitational! We had an amazing turnout of alumni, friends, and supporters who came together for a fun day of golf, followed by a celebratory dinner. DePaul Catholic Seniors Cassandra Jourdan and Matthew Mattingly, as well as Juniors Montserrat Gordillo and Michael Perebzak, reflected on what it means to win an Academic Merit Scholarship and expressed gratitude to all donors. Thank you to the North Jersey Country Club for hosting this excellent event.

Capital Improvements

COMPLETED PROJECTS:

Over the last two years, we have completed several campus improvement projects, which were designed to create a more vibrant and welcoming environment for our students. The new walkway and landscaped pathway behind Flarity Hall, refurbished “team barn”, and newly field-turfed athletic area have expanded opportunities for outdoor learning, events, and student activities. We have established a brand new Spartan Shop located upstairs in Flarity Hall. We have also invested in infrastructure improvements, including a renovation of our cafeteria, a new west-wing roof, purchased and installed new security cameras, have made IT upgrades, made the hallway and classroom ceiling tile replacements, built a new Business Office in Flarity Hall, and have undertaken the renovation of our boys’ locker room, again, all of which are aimed at enhancing safety, comfort, and pride in our shared spaces. We remain committed to continuing to make the needed capital improvements to the girls’ locker room as well as other areas in our building and on our campus.

THE BOYS' LOCKER ROOM RENOVATION PROJECT:

The renovation of our boys' locker room is progressing right on schedule, and the transformation is already impressive! The redesigned space will provide our student-athletes with a modern, comfortable, and inspiring environment.

Highlights of the project include:

  • 90 brand-new lockers with bench seating
  • Upgraded lighting
  • New HVAC system for improved comfort

We are excited to offer "naming" opportunities for each of the 90 lockers. With a donation of $2,500, you can honor a loved one, coach, teacher, or friend. A personalized plaque will be installed inside the locker, recognizing both the honoree and the donor.

Thanks to our community's generosity, 10 lockers have already been named, raising over $35,000 toward our $100,000 goal. With your support, we can reach the finish line for this long-overdue project.

Please create a lasting legacy for our student-athletes by donating!
