(Santa Monica, CA - October 18, 2023) - Gearing up to release his new single "Found at Sea," Wes Chiller announces “Dead Man's Luau, an unworldly, nautical-themed, music festival” will be taking place Halloween Weekend on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Canary (1301 5th St. Santa Monica, CA 90401). Immerse yourself in an interactive night of live music, art, tattooing, limbo, and a silent charity auction. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Surfer’s Healing and Maui First Responders Fire Relief.
The Canary in Santa Monica will transform into Dead Man’s Luau in its 3rd iteration. Dress up according to the Nautical Nightmare theme, dawning your favorite haunted shell crown, or come as a mermaid, pirate, crab, tourist, or your favorite character in Jaws. The imagination is the limit.
Experience the live music of WES CHILLER and DE LUX followed by a DJ set by PINK SKIES. See the exhibited art by DEAD GRINGOS and experience the immersive visual art of LIQUID FIDELITY. The Queen of the Luau, HANA K'KOA MILLER, will be hosting the evening and will be performing the opening hula. REYN SPOONER, the most collected Aloha Shirt brand, will be donating products to the silent auction.
“The Dead Man’s Luau establishes our artistic universe on a multimedial platform while bringing funding and awareness to the causes I care deeply about,” says Chiller. “My team and I are proud to provide a purpose for our haunted halloween luau and can’t wait to see you there.”
In addition to the festivities, Chiller will be releasing his new single “Found at Sea” on the night before the luau which details the origin story of Dead Man’s Luau. Pre-save "Found at Sea" here.
Born and raised in Capistrano Beach, California, Wes Chiller grew up on the beach surfing and playing ukulele with the jazz legends at San Onofre Beach. He harnessed that love of music and attended UCLA for their Ethnomusicology Major becoming the first to graduate with a ukulele focus. Now, as a firefighter paramedic and festival creator, Wes Chiller is excited to bring his third rendition of the Dead Man’s Luau to Santa Monica this Halloween with his cause-related music festival.

A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards Surfers Healing and the Maui Fire Dept. Lahaina Ohana Relief. Surfers Healing hosts free surf camps for kids living with autism, while the Maui Fire Department supports the community's firefighters and first responders.
