Transforming Learning Spaces: McCartney’s Workplace Solutions Delivers Free Furniture to Local Schools

Altoona, PA – McCartney’s Workplace Solutions is thrilled to announce the successful delivery and installation of furniture vignettes to the winners of our Keystone Education Showcase Furniture Giveaway. Thanks to the generous support of Smith System and the dedication of McCartney’s team, the winning schools are now enjoying updated, functional, and inspiring learning spaces with flexibility to meet their needs.

After a thoughtful review process of submissions from school administrators and educators, four deserving winners were selected and awarded furniture vignettes for their schools and classrooms. These vignettes were designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and comfort while improving the overall functionality of each space.

The Winners:

  • Classroom Vignette: West Branch Area School District – A multi-use space in the elementary school has received a much-needed update. The classroom is now equipped with collaborative desks and seating that promote group work and student engagement, as well as updated pieces to boost teacher efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Pre-K Vignette: Penn Cambria School District – Replacing decades-old furniture in Heidi Saleme's Kindergarten classroom, this colorful, flexible furniture encourages enthusiasm, active learning and play across a range of activities and learning styles.
  • Library Vignette: Arrows Christian Academy – This furniture will kick-start the creation of a new library and collaboration space, enhancing what this up-and-coming school has to offer its students.
  • Steelcase Vignette: Claysburg-Kimmel School District - A mix of furniture pieces will add to various spaces throughout the district, including the high-school incentive lounge and elementary special education spaces.

“Seeing these spaces come to life has been incredibly rewarding,” said Tracey Baker, Furniture Specialist at McCartney’s. “Each vignette was carefully designed to address the specific needs of their respective environments and to enhance its ability to foster learning and collaboration.”

The winners were chosen based on their compelling submissions, which included photos of their existing spaces and detailed visions of how the new furniture would improve their environments and benefit their students.

McCartney’s is proud to have partnered with Smith System to make this project a reality and remains committed to supporting local schools with innovative solutions that inspire learning and growth.

Did you know........

Small businesses represent the largest segment by number of most local chamber membership rolls. Results in the research study by The Shapiro Group, Inc. and Market Street indicate the impact of local chamber membership on small businesses is very powerful. If a consumer knows a small business is a member of its local chamber, the business enjoys a 44 percent increase in its consumer favorability rating, a 51 percent increase in consumer awareness, a 57 percent increase in its local reputation and a 63 percent increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize the business in the future.

Research indicates that chamber membership stimulates business-to-business commerce in the local community. Other businesses in town are more likely to do business with you and your company if you are a member of the local chamber. Because a major part of a small business typically comes from business-to-business services, it is essential to maintain a positive standing within the local business community.
