Revamped UN Climate Action Portal (NAZCA) is Live!
As leaders gathered in California for the Global Climate Action Summit, UN Climate Change unveiled a revamped version of its Climate Action Portal (NAZCA), featuring the accelerated action underway by cities, regions, companies and investors to achieve the collective goals of the Paris Agreement.

The update represents a unique collaboration between UN Climate Change and its core data partners who have been tirelessly working to upload new actions: CDP, Carbonn Climate Registry, Climate Bonds Initiative, UN Environment's Climate Initiatives Platform, Global Covenant of Mayors, Investors on Climate Change, The Climate Group, and UN Global Compact.

Watch the Talanoa Dialogue at the Global Climate Action Summit

A “Talanoa Dialogue” took place at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco with climate leaders, designed to sound a note of optimism at the Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS), where business leaders, non-profits, citizens, and local government representatives are gathering to make bold new climate commitments.

The Dialogue – which was convened by the Fijian Presidency – brought together speakers from across sectors and geographies including GCAS Co-chairs: California Governor Jerry Brown, United Nations Climate Change Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa, UN Youth Envoy Jayathma Wickramanayake, Mahindra Group CEO Anand Mahindra and China’s S pecial Representative for Climate Change Xie Zhenhua.

Total List of Global Climate Action Summit Announcements Available
Leaders from all sectors of society gathered at the GCAS to demonstrate how they are ‘taking ambition to the next level’ with a wave of fresh and brave climate action announcements that, if implemented will generate over 65 million new, low-carbon jobs by 2030.

Over three days, Californian Governor, Jerry Brown, played host to an official programme of events that generated more than 500 commitments.

Talanoa Dialogue at COP 24: Information on the Approach available online
Information on the approach to organizing the Talanoa Dialogue at COP24 is now available on the Talanoa Dialogue Platform .

This note provides a general overview of the organization of the Talanoa Dialogue at COP 24. Arrangements have been set bearing in mind the benefits of an adequate sequencing of mandated high level events, as well as the need to provide enough time for ongoing negotiations under the Paris Agreement Work Programme. Additional details will be provided in due course.

The COP 23 Presidency and the upcoming COP 24 Presidency invite you to join a webinar on Friday, providing in-depth information on the orchestration of the Talanoa Dialogue during the international climate negotiations in Poland this December.
