Today's Snapshot of Climate Neutral Now
Since 2015, 625 participants from all around the world have been taking climate action in collaboration with us.
Our New Partnership To Boost Voluntary
Climate Action
The Climate Neutral Now initiative and the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance of Germany have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen their collaboration. We will further promote voluntary climate action by the private sector, including the use of carbon markets to deliver sustainable development benefits to developing nations.

At the signing ceremony, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa said: “The decisions on carbon markets taken at the Glasgow Climate Change Conference are important milestones to implement the Paris Agreement. The private sector plays a key role in taking and funding climate action and I am glad to strengthen our collaboration with the Foundation to support this.”

New: API Available to Connect to the UN Carbon Offset Platform
The UNFCCC secretariat has developed an API (application programming interface) to allow third-party websites and apps to connect to the UN Carbon Offset Platform.

The API currently allows users to see all information associated to the projects and carbon credits (Certified Emission Reductions or CERs) available for sale on the platform. Purchase and cancellation of the credits is not yet possible through the API.

The current solution allows third parties to display the projects their users/clients can support thanks to their offsetting emissions, in collaboration with them and the UN Carbon Offset Platform.
