In less than three weeks, COP 26 will open at the Scottish Event Campus, Glasgow, Scotland. The stakes could not be higher: climate action is more urgent than ever, and we are on the way to exceed the 1.5 degree Celsius target for global warming.
COP 26 must deliver agreement on several key areas, including financial support for developing countries and increased focus on adaptation to climate change.
Climate Neutral Now will be closely following the negotiations on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which will set the rules for carbon markets and other collaborative mechanisms. We will report back next month with news from Glasgow.

Introducing the New Lifestyle Calculator
The UN Climate Change secretariat is proud to present the new Lifestyle Climate Footprint Calculator.
The calculator was built in partnership with Swedish fintech Doconomy. It is an open-source tool, that can be used by anyone, and further improved in the long-run. It features new elements to allow for a more precise measurement of emissions, both for individuals or organizations. For instance, new categories of emission sources such as shopping habits are now part of the calculation. It is also region specific, with data that is tailored to the user’s location and retail habits.
For more details on how the calculator was developed, please read our blog post. To try it out and calculate your emissions, click here.
