What is Transformational Learning?

It's "the process of deep, constructive, and meaningful learning, that goes beyond simple knowledge acquisition and supports critical ways in which learners consciously make meaning of their lives".

What if we actively chose to engage in transformational learning with end-of-life (EOL) matters?

Would we consciously deepen our connection to living life?

Could we openly discuss EOL experiences that would elevate our souls?

Engaging in the necessary conversations about life and death is hard, yet this is the place to purposely learn more about your EOL relationships, so that you can transfigure your death, dying and grief experiences.

The purpose of these monthly newsletters is to create a platform where you, and your loved ones, can begin having these necessary conversations about the "elephant in the room".

When we bring death to the surface, begin talking about it and preparing for certain aspects of it, we are then giving it a deeper sense of love and honor, and turning this, often feared experience, into something that is more meaningful and peaceful when the time comes.

Together, we can capture the power of transformational learning so that we can respect life and all experiences with death, dying and grief.

A New Kind of New Years Resolution

A new year is often seen as an opportunity to improve some aspect of ones life, either physically, spiritually, and/or emotionally.

However, there is one area of life that is overlooked and avoided, until absolutely necessary, and this is the relationships we have with End-of-Life (EOL) matters.

A Necessary Conversation is committed to working with individuals, families and communities to share EOL knowledge, by building deeper relationships with, the one aspect of life we will all be touched by, death.

Are you willing to create a more profound relationship with EOL?

"Die Wise ......does not offer seven steps for coping with death. It does not suggest ways to make dying easier. It pours no honey to make the medicine go down".

"Instead, with lyrical prose, deep wisdom, and stories from his two decades of working with dying people and their families, Stephen Jenkinson places death at the center of the page and asks us to behold it in all its painful beauty".
