Dear Valued Supporter,

I hope that you and your family are healthy and safe!

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we had to cancel the planned “ Dear Cancer It’s Me”  high school essay contest ceremony on April 4th.

It became clear that we were not going to be able to hold an in-person gathering any time soon so we shifted our thinking to a live "virtual" event on Zoom. All the essayists worked hard and we wanted to be able to award the winners, which we did on May 18th. We recorded the attached award presentations for you to enjoy.

We value your support for this event and wanted you to be among the first to see the video, which includes the participants' heartwarming reactions to their scholarship awards.  This is a heartfelt event each year highlighting amazing young people overcoming the challenges of cancer - either their own diagnosis or as a family member or friend of someone challenged with cancer.

This year students from over 100 high schools in our service area were invited to join the "Dear Cancer, It's Me" contest. We had 42 students take the time to share their thoughts with us.

Thank you for your support which allows us to support these terrific students.

Thank you, and stay safe!

With gratitude,
