Welcome to the 2026-2027 academic year! I am honored to be a part of the Savio community and look forward to meeting everyone as the year progresses. Recently, I mailed an introductory letter to all school families asking for your support in ensuring a successful school year through the intercession of prayer. Dear Savio Family,

Welcome to a new school year at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School!

Whether you are returning for another year or joining our community for the first time, we are grateful that you have entrusted us with the privilege of partnering with you in the education and formation of your children. We are excited to welcome our students back to campus and begin another year of growing together in faith, scholarship, and witness.

As always, our success depends on the strong partnership between school and home. Thank you for the countless ways you support our mission and contribute to the vibrant community that makes St. Dominic Savio so special. Together, we can provide an environment where every student is known, challenged, loved, and encouraged to become the person God created them to be.

School Pass App

Parents, you should have received a Welcome Email from SchoolPass about installing the app and setting up an account. Please report your early dismissals, late arrivals and absences on the SchoolPass App. Anything reported through the app will alert the front office. Transportation Information & Pick-Up/Drop-Off Procedures
Are you interested in using the Savio Bus as transportation to and from school? If so, please review and complete the 2026-2027 Bus Contract.

Additionally, please review the Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures to ensure the safety of everyone in the Savio parking lot.

TEFA Funds for School Uniforms

Please see the attached memo from Flynn O'Hara Uniforms if you are interested in using TEFA funds to purchase school uniforms.

Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM)

All persons who engage in ministry in the Diocese of Austin (clergy, religious, employees, and lay volunteers) must complete the EIM registration and training through VIRTUS® Online in order to serve in ministry. New applicants, and existing applicants who have never attended an EIM Workshop, must attend an in-person EIM Workshop to fulfill their initial EIM compliance requirement. If you are a new applicant who has submitted an EIM Application and need to attend an EIM Workshop, please contact Savio EIM Site Administrator Danna Kelemen regarding the status of an in-person EIM Workshop in our area.

FAQs - Before the School Year Begins

Textbooks

• Our online textbook store opened July 1st.
• Visit it at: https://bnck-12.com/saviochs (the link won’t work until the bookstore opens)
• Due to COPPA requirements, a separate code is needed to order textbooks. This was sent directly to parents in a separate email in June. If you registered your child at Savio after that, please email Mr. Goertz.
• If a class is not listed, there is no required textbook
• Some classes may have course packets or online resources that your teachers will tell you about in August (Biology, language, math, SLS courses are examples)
• Remember that books for English need to be clean copies
• You are not required to order through our official partner (although it is the most convenient option and has a $5.95 flat rate shipping). To see a list of books for each class in case you want to order them separately, click here.

School Supplies

• Supply lists will be emailed on August 6th in time for tax free shopping weekend
• Freshmen do not need to buy a separate planner as the school is ordering all freshmen the same customized planner this year.
• 9th and 10th grade computers are being leased through the school and no other computers will be allowed for these students during instructional time. More information will be provided about this by our Director of Technology.

2026-2027 Student Parking Registration

If you would like to park on campus for the 2026-2027 school year, please carefully review the Parking Guidelines and complete the Google Form. Please contact Mr. Vu with any questions.
