From the Interim President's Desk

Dear Savio and Holy Family Communities,

As the 2025-2026 school year draws to a close, I want to thank you all for allowing me to share a small piece of your school journey. It has truly been an honor, and please know of my continued prayers for these two beautiful communities. I am grateful for the faculty and staff of both schools. Their tireless efforts are a testament to the love and dedication they have for their schools. I want to especially thank Gina Kerley, our Director of Advancement, and Susan Laielli, our Director of Communications. These two ladies have worked tirelessly throughout their time here and will be greatly missed as they move out of state. I would like to dedicate the rest of this space to their parting thoughts.

From Gina Kerley- Six years ago, I arrived in these communities, a California transplant starting a new job during COVID. I met many of you via Zoom, held annual fund gatherings online, and did what I could to advance both schools forward in a time of uncertainty and chaos. I quickly found that this community was one that was resilient, generous, welcoming, unapologetically Catholic and committed to the Mission of the schools. The Zoom faces became colleagues, friends, and fellow parishioners. This area became home and these schools stole a little piece of my heart. I leave Texas to start my new family adventure in Wilmington, NC, launching Aquila Advancement Consulting. Please know that each of you I worked with, met with, prayed with, and celebrated with have left a special "heart print" on my spirit. I will cherish my time here forever. I pray you remain the same committed, amazingly Catholic, generous community you are and help the next leaders of the school advancement our Missions even further.  Until we meet again....

From Susan Laielli- It has been my pleasure to document the activities and achievements of Holy Family Catholic School and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School students, faculty, and staff for the last four years. You have given me the best smiles and shared so many wonderful accomplishments that often, I felt as if my own children were marking these milestones! I will be assisting the new communications director to keep our momentum moving forward over the next couple of months, and I remain a trusted, loyal supporter of both Holy Family and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School. My husband Tim and I will be relocating to our home in The Villages, Florida, so please reach out if you are in the Tampa or Orlando areas. 

May your summer be restful and refreshing, and may God's grace continue to flow through these beautiful communities for years to come.

The school office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

The Savio campus will be closed from Monday, June 29th through Wednesday, July 15th. We will reopen on Thursday, July 16th.

Principal's Message

Dear Savio Family, 

With only a few days left in the school year I would like to say to the whole community, “Congratulations, we did it!.” We made it through another school year. Every school year has its ups and downs, challenges and successes. This year was no different. We continue to navigate growth in our school, transitions in leadership, and opportunities for improvement in many areas. 

To the students who navigated the stress and anxiety of AP exams and final exams the past few weeks, to the faculty and staff who worked hard and dedicated themselves to finishing the year strong, and to the parents who survived managing the challenges of raising a high school student I say again, “Congratulations, we did it!” 

I would also like to express my gratitude to those faculty and staff who will not be returning to Savio next year. We thank them for their service to the community and wish them well in their future endeavors.

PROJECT GRADUATION 2026 IS THIS SATURDAY!

Calling all parents — especially underclassman families! This is your chance to experience Project Graduation firsthand and help make this special night possible for the Class of 2026.

We know this is one of the busiest times of the year, but we urgently need volunteers to fill remaining spots for Saturday, May 23 at the Round Rock Sports Center. Even giving just two hours makes a huge difference.

The shifts are easy, fun, and a great way to get a sneak peek at what’s ahead for your Eagle while supporting a safe and memorable night for our seniors.

Diakonia Service Hours Reminder

Summer is a great time to get volunteer service hours completed! See the Christian Outreach website for lots of opportunities for service, all summer long. We will also be taking a group to Feed My People from Savio throughout the summer on Thursday mornings. Sign up here if you are interested in attending. We only have space for 10 students each time so sign up early!

Eagle Fund Update
We did it—we reached our $250,000 goal! Thank you for your incredible generosity and support.

Each year we have seen firsthand how much our families care about our students and our mission. That’s why parent participation in the Eagle Fund is so important—it shows sponsors and granting organizations just how strong and committed our community truly is. Even our students recognize that. We’re so close to our next milestone—50% parent participation in the Eagle Fund by June 30—and we’d love every family to be part of it. Every gift counts, no matter the size. A donation of just $5 or more will help us reach our participation goal.

Verification of Enrollment (VOE) Forms
If your student will need a Verification of Enrollment and Attendance Form (VOE) for the purpose of obtaining a Driver's Permit or License during the summer months, please have them see Ms. Cunningham during the week of May 18 - 22. VOEs issued during this week will be valid until the first day of the 2026-27 school year, Wednesday, August 12.

The school office will have limited hours during the summer, and you may not be able to obtain the VOE during that time. VOEs issued after May 22 will only be valid for 30 days.

SPA Rosary

It has been our pleasure to pray for you this year. We hope that you all have a wonderful summer. We will continue to remember you in our prayers.

And to the Class of 2026, we pray that your time at Savio has helped you to grow in wisdom and in faith. We pray that you are always aware of how loved and precious you are! Stay safe and healthy and make good choices! We miss you already!
