NEWS AND HAPPENINGS
The following information was shared in worship this past Sunday by John Paclik, Chair of the Leadership Council.

The Leadership Council met this past week and concluded that in the best interest of the church we should pause our vote on disaffiliation. We are not shuffling it down the road to be forgotten.

In consultation with Pastor Cynthia and given the increased amount of information that is now available on all sides of the issue, we believe a vote now would be premature.

We have paused the vote now and scheduled it to come before the Leadership Council in early January which gives us plenty of time to get the letter in to the Conference stating that we are going to EXPLORE disaffiliation.

We want to be clear that this letter is non-binding and merely signals to the Conference that we are beginning our 30 days of prayer and discernment in which we will look at the broader view of each side of this process. We will have a church vote then if we decide to move forward.

In the meantime? We can enjoy the season of Advent as we prepare our hearts to seek God’s will. Please pray for the Leadership Council.
