Homecoming is a highlight of the year, and not just because of all the fun and engaging events. Homecoming brings the past and present together. What great memories are shared during homecoming. As a picture can bring back a flood of memories, so can talking with other alumni and walking around campus. I especially enjoy seeing alumni engaging our current students. Our students have much to learn from you. You demonstrate the value of a Tusculum education. You prove that it can be done. You show how far your Tusculum education can take you.
Even after homecoming, you can be a mentor to a current student. Giving to scholarships, the student emergency fund, or the first-generation campaign provides access to a Tusculum education and helps keep a student on track when challenges can be overwhelming.
Give the gift of a Tusculum education and experience.

In recognition of Marion Edens and his remarkable dedication to students, we are thrilled to announce that the scholarship established in his honor, celebrating his many years of service at what was then Tusculum College, has officially achieved endowment status. Alumni from the 1950s and ’60s fondly recall countless “Edens stories,” and this scholarship stands as a lasting tribute to the profound impact one individual had on so many lives.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the Edens Scholarship Fund has already surpassed $67,000 in donations. With your continued support, we are well on our way to reaching the $100,000 goal, ensuring Mr. Edens’ legacy will inspire students for generations to come.
🧡 Exciting opportunity: Jim Owen (Class of 1960) has generously pledged to match all gifts dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000, for donations received by the end of the year. That means every gift you make will have double the impact!
Now is the perfect time to honor a man who gave so much to Tusculum and its students. Your support can help continue his extraordinary legacy.

We mourn the loss of members of our alumni community. Though we may not have all the details, we remember and honor those who have passed. Each person’s contribution to our community, in their own way, has left a lasting impact that will continue to resonate with us.
Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and all who were fortunate to know them. Their memories will forever be cherished, and their legacies will live on in the hearts of those they touched.

Happy November from Tusculum!
What an incredible Homecoming week we had at Tusculum University! The campus was alive with Pioneer pride as alumni, students, faculty, and friends gathered to celebrate our shared history and bright future. From the parade and athletic events to the Alumni Awards Dinner & Dance, every moment was filled with laughter, connection, and a true sense of community.
Thank you to everyone who returned home to Tusculum and helped make this Homecoming such a memorable success. Seeing alumni reconnect with classmates, mentor students, and share their Pioneer stories reminds us just how special this university family truly is.
Homecoming also marked an exciting milestone for Tusculum’s future, the public launch of our Frontiers Campaign, a $13.5 million initiative that will expand scholarship support, enhance the student experience, and fund key campus projects. As Tennessee’s first university, Tusculum continues to stand at the frontier of opportunity, preparing students for lives of success and service.
Your continued engagement and generosity make that mission possible. Whether you give your time, share your story, or make a financial gift, you help open doors for the next generation of Pioneers.
Thank you for being part of this extraordinary moment in Tusculum’s history. Together, we’re not only celebrating our past, we’re building a stronger future.
If you have any questions or would like to connect, feel free to reach out to me at mebryant@tusculum.edu or call 423.636.7407.
Warmest regards,
Melissa Bryant '18, '19
