Using the support and aid you send; we are continuing to provide financial aid and assistance to our damaged or destroyed churches as they work to rebuild from December’s Typhoon Odette. Here are some pictures showing our on-going efforts.
On Dinagat Island, with their budget request reviewed and approved, our team of local and regional pastors and church members began the work of rebuilding our church. Your support enables all of this.
The first thing to do is dig down to build and place cement footings for the support pillars. Steel bars are fabricated, ditches dug, cement mixed with shovels and poured from buckets - all done by hand.
Once the cement and steel footings have been poured, plywood is used to build the forms for the vertical columns, used to support the walls and roof of the church.
Once the cement columns are set, hollow blocks are laid, filled with more cement and steel bars for reinforcement. Because the church location is on a slope, we’re raising the floor and side walls to elevate and level the building.
We are planting a new church in the village of Medellin, on the island of Cebu. On April 18-19, our teams did a 2-day crusade in the village of Bulinaw, Kawit, which is a smaller sub-section of Medellin. Here are the results: Total attendance was 172: Adults: 55, Children: 117. Total salvations: 172: Adults: 55, Children: 117. Total healings: 67: Adults: 34, children: 33. Your prayers and financial support enables us to continue doing these crusades – always in remote, isolated places where nobody else has gone. Thank you for your love, care and partnership with MKMI! This is fruit for God’s glory that will be accredited to your account someday when you stand before the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ (Romans 14:10/2Corinthians 5:9-10).
Along with our crusade team, here are the people who attended our Medellin crusade on April 18-19. Your support enables us to reach these people for Jesus.
Our crusades reach everyone – young, old, parents, youth – all hear the gospel wherever we go. You can see some using cellphones to record this event, because it is indeed rare for isolated places like this to receive any kind of attention. Jesus loves them, and we want them to know that!
We sing praise songs, and invite the people to join in. They do! Enthusiastically!
Our teams always separate the children and teach them about Jesus in ways they can understand. Look at these kids! Nobody is distracted. We have their undivided attention.
After salvation, we always lay hands on the sick, as the Bible commands in Mark 16:15-18.
Many mothers bring their sick children to these crusades. All are prayed for like this.
I love how we love and minister to the Filipino children! They’re so ready to hear about Jesus and receive Him as Lord. This little guy is enjoying the sweet snacks we provide at the end of our outreach to them. Your support makes it possible to reach them while they are so innocent and receptive.
After our crusades, we always bless those who come with things they can take home for their families. These precious people are holding sacks of rice and sardines we’ve given, as a way to remind them that Jesus loves them, and will always take care of them if they stay close to Him.
We want you to know that every dollar given towards our outreaches in the Philippines goes directly to helping people cope with natural disasters like typhoons, earthquakes and the like, or as part of our spiritual outreaches to share Jesus in our crusades. We don’t just blow in and blow out! We give the poor the gospel, as well as much-needed food and clothing before we leave. Not one dime or dollar is ever diverted to “administrative costs”, as it is with many other humanitarian or ministerial organizations. We thank you for what you’ve given and encourage you to continue with your prayers and financial generosity. Thank you for doing what you can to help! And remember, your gifts are always tax-deductible.
Rhema Bible Training Center is aggressively seeking Christians who are called to do something significant for Jesus with their lives in these last days. This is the Bible school that trained and prepared me before I was sent to the Philippines in 1980. What I learned provided me with the knowledge and foundation for success in ministry. The good news is that our RBTC school in Ozamiz City is available to do the same teaching and training for Filipinos. This school will elevate your abilities to serve Jesus with excellence. This school prepares you for success as an Ambassador of Christ. Contact us for all the details, and how you can enroll in our next trimester of teaching that begins the first week of June 2022. Contact info: Rev. Cheryl Carbajosa, School Director @ 09382071739, or Rev. Emmie Cabanag, School Administrator @ 09127609333.
We appreciate your faithful prayers of agreement for these priority issues we’re dealing with now in the Philippines:
| |
In the Philippines:
Typhoon Odette. Work is progressing in multiple locations, rebuilding churches and parsonages destroyed or damaged by this huge storm from last December. Agree with us for generous donations to continue to be sent to MKMI USA, which we will wire overseas to help our affected ministers, families and church members.
Ministry Income. Agree with us for steady and sufficient monthly income to run the ministry and continue all avenues of outreach without interruption. We’re feeding on God’s faithfulness (Psalms 37:3). As our COLD-WATER newsletters indicate, we’re conducting our crusade outreaches in select villages and isolated locations. Your support enables us to send our teams wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

Ethel and I want you to know how important you are to the on-going work of MKMI in the Philippines, and around the world. We are presently in a good position financially and expect that to be the case as we move through the spring of 2022. We believe we’ll get back to the Philippines as soon as possible, to resume effective and full-scale ministry operations. But wherever we are, we know we have got partners like you to lean on, as we all stand in faith for complete victory over this global pandemic attack of the enemy.
Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. Daniel 12:3
Soul-winners are wise people (Proverbs 11:30). Wise people shall be greatly rewarded someday soon in Heaven. They’ll shine like the sun and stars for all eternity. Soul-winners are precious to God. He will move mountains to provide whatever they need to continue doing Kingdom business in this life. So, be wise! Make the choice to get involved in the work of the Great Commission (Mark 16:15-18). If the Lord is not calling you to go physically and personally, be sure to support those who are. Everybody needs everybody else! It’s a team game!

Be Strong! Stay Strong!
Through time spent in the Philippines, Rev. Keyes learned how to survive and how to thrive in that hostile and dangerous environment. He also learned seven spiritual priorities which he called “priorities of life” which, when practiced consistently, would produce a level of personal spiritual strength that ensured longevity and lasting success in ministry. God’s perfect will is for every believer to be triumphant and victorious in life, walking and living as the stronger man or woman that He declared and ordained us to be in Jesus. In Be Strong! Stay Strong!, Rev. Keyes gives the seven spiritual priorities and the importance of practicing them consistently – bringing any believer to the place of superior strength and victory over any attack of the enemy in these last days.
