This is where our meetings were located: New Life Christian Center, in the city of Cork.
In the spring of 2019, Ethel and I made our first missions trip to Ireland. It was a wonderful time of outreach; preaching and teaching for missionaries Barry and Kimba Cunningham in the city of Cork. We were cleared by the Lord to return the following year, but COVID 19 prevented it. When all travel restrictions were finally lifted in early 2023, we again sought the Lord and upon receiving His “go-ahead”, scheduled our second missions trip this past June. Four meetings were held, and each one was anointed and powerful. We spoke and ministered to saints and ministers alike, imparting the Word of God to empower and encourage our brethren there. Many were healed in these meetings, some instantly and others testifying of immediate improvement.
We arrived on Wednesday from New York. We then did services Thursday and Friday evening, a leadership meeting on Saturday morning, and then the Sunday morning church service.
Our theme for these meetings is up on the banner behind me. EXPECT A MIRACLE!
We included hospital visitation to pray for brethren in need.
These two young lovely ladies Clarissa Vicada and Joce Fitz were two that we mentored in the Philippines, and now while they live and work in Ireland. They were members of our ATWOC church in Tangub City, under Ptr Ronnie & Elsie Balatero. It was so good to see them after many years. Joce lives in Cork, but Clarissa drove down all the way from Dublin.
Your prayers and financial support made this missions trip possible. Thank you!
Following our 4 days of ministry outreach, we had the chance to head out into the country for a few days, and get a feel for this spiritual harvest field. Indeed, it is a beautiful island full of friendly, hospitable people. However, it is also a place steeped in religion and tacit resistance to the message of the gospel. We salute Pastors Barry and Kimba for their tenacity and determination to obey God is this place. We will return to continue to help as the Lord leads, and as our faithful partners undergird us with faith, prayers and finances.
Here is Ethel, by the Kinsale town harbor Sunday afternoon.
Kinsale is a typical Irish town, with narrow streets hemmed in with homes and businesses.
I couldn’t resist taking pictures of this little Irish redhead, out walking with her Dad.
This is the coastal town of Bantry. We had lunch here on Monday; enjoying the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!
Bantry town restrooms! To say their buildings are colorful would be an understatement.
We visited Bantry House, up on hills overlooking the harbor. This was once home to Irish royalty, and is now a museum. While touring the grounds, I kept thinking about eternity. Rich or poor, accepting or rejecting Jesus determines whether we spend eternity in heaven or hell. God is no respecter of persons.
Our last day was spent touring the seaside town of Cobh (pronounced Cove). A lovely town, with the Cathedral of Saint Colman towering above the harbor.
These gargoyles are all located above the main entrance to the Colman Cathedral. I was told they were placed there to scare away demon spirits. Really? They are replicas of the demons themselves. Nothing could illustrate the deception of religion any better. For more info on this cathedral go to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Colman%27s_Cathedral,_Cobh
Dear Mike & Ethel, I want to thank you both for an amazing four days on your visit to Ireland. It was a powerful experience in God's holy presence. Yes, I would like to keep in touch, and I have signed up for your newsletter. Kind Regards. Elaine McGuinness.
Note: From her place of work and residence in Kilkenny town, Elaine drove several hours one-way to attend each of the four services we conducted. What a hunger for God’s Word!

Overall Ministry:
Financial Support. Agree with us for steady and sufficient monthly income to run the ministry and continue all avenues of outreach without interruption. We’re feeding on God’s faithfulness (Psalms 37:3). As our COLD-WATER newsletters indicate, we’re busy on many fronts, sharing the gospel with young and old alike. Your support enables us to send our teams wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

In the Philippines:
Ethel’s Trip Back. This coming August, Ethel will be returning to the Philippines for 3 weeks to re-connect face-to-face with our pastors, students and church leaders. Pray and agree with us for the funds to pay for this trip, along with safe and smooth travel through all ports of entry. No vaccine mandates to deal with, and no international or in-country travel restrictions at all in Jesus’ Name.

Ethel and I want you to know how important you are to the on-going work of MKMI in the Philippines, and around the world. We are presently in a good position financially and expect that to be the case as we move through the year 2023. We believe we’ll get back overseas to our sons and daughters as soon as possible, but wherever we are, we know we have got partners like you to lean on. Since 1980, I have gone wherever God leads me, and now our staff, students, graduates and churches reproduce that same effort in the Philippines. Your prayers and financial support enables us to do all of this. Thank you!
The cost of educating our students falls mainly upon the MKMI ministry. The students are charged tuition, but the actual budget for housing, feeding and educating them is much more than their tuition can cover. That’s why sponsorship has become so vital. If you would like to sponsor one or more of our current or future students, the total cost to underwrite one of them is $95 monthly, or $855 annually (for nine months of study – vacation time excluded). This covers everything we need to provide for them. And remember, your gifts are always tax-deductible.
We’re believing God will provide sponsors for 35 students. If this is something you feel led to help us with, be sure to designate “Sponsor a Student” from the drop down menu when clicking the link below for online contributions. We will then assign one of our new students to you, with a picture and bio so you can know who it is that you’re supporting.

Casting all our care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Many believers today are like the ones with Jesus when the devil’s storm was sinking their boat. In Mark 4:35-40, they cried out in fear: “Lord, don’t you care that we are perishing?” Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith back then, and it’s the same lack of faith today that prevents God from taking care of us the way He has promised in His word. Storms come and go in this life, but remember, God does care! Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and it is our faith in that fact that overcomes the world today (1 John 5:4).
So, what’s our takeaway today? Relax! Cast all cares upon God, and don’t worry about anything! All care means all care, not some of it or most of it. God cares about you. He loves you. Jesus will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). So, cheer up! If God be for you, who can be against you (Romans 3:31-39)?
