We have great news to share in this month’s newsletter. After 3-and-a-half years of standing in faith and prayer, we’re pleased to report that the Philippine government has decided to lift all COVID-19 restrictions for travel, both domestically and internationally. That means all the obstacles that prevented us from returning since January 2020 have been removed.
No more mask mandates. No more “vax cards” required for public transportation. No more pressure to get “vaccinated”. Finally! If people want to do these things, that’s fine, but now everything is voluntary, not mandatory. That’s the way it should’ve been from the beginning of this terrible plot from hell.

As I write this to you, my wife Ethel is in the Philippines, with our National Children’s Director, Rev. Jennifer Popowich. They reported to me that their travel from the USA to the Philippines was smooth and uneventful – the way it used to be. Praise God!
I’ll be sharing more about their visit in next month’s COLD WATER, but for now, rejoice with us! Thank you for standing in faith with us for these demonic obstacles to be removed in Jesus’ name. The devil has tried to use this plandemic to stop the Great Commission of Mark 16:15-18, but once again, he has failed.

In my Facebook Live Stream messages, I always encourage our partners to write and share with us the good things that God is doing in their lives. Here are a few recent testimonies.
Good Morning and Blessings.
Pray all is well with my favorite ministry. ❤️ I’ve been keeping up with Faith book (Facebook). Thank you for the spiritual food. So encouraging and faith building. I’m also able to see many of the ministry photos on FB as well. It’s so awesome! It really is. I find myself just a little envious. I’m just like “wow”, and they do it all with very little in the Philippines. No frills. No fancy church and no smoke machines! I think you are so right when you say everyone should visit a 3rd world country. I’ve been praying about sponsoring a student since reading this month’s Cold Water. I know it will be a blessing to whoever you choose. I decided it was best to sponsor for the year rather than monthly. I used the donation app you set up. Love you guys and Happy Belated Anniversary. ❤️ And enjoy your trip to the Philippines Ethel!

All is well, Dad! Just want to share some things that I dreamed last night. I dreamt about you Dad! In my dream, you asked me how I am. And you hugged me! I can feel the father’s love, Dad! Thank you, that even in my dreams you’re a blessing! My spirit is full of joy! And I remember all the teachings from God’s word and the wisdom that you taught us while I was one of your students! And we talked about so many things in my dream, like a friend. God bless you Dad! And Mommy Ethel together with your whole family! Praying to see you all! Face to face. Shalom!

Overall Ministry:
Financial Support. Agree with us for steady and sufficient monthly income to run the ministry and continue all avenues of outreach without interruption. We’re feeding on God’s faithfulness (Psalms 37:3). As our COLD-WATER newsletters indicate, we’re busy on many fronts, sharing the gospel with young and old alike. Your support enables us to send our teams wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

In the Philippines:
Our Return Trips: As I mentioned at the start of the newsletter, Ethel has returned to the Philippines! Her trip was smooth sailing, and as of this writing, she’s busy overseeing operations, assessing the state of the ministry work, and participating in our regular crusade outreaches, as you see here. For 2024, we’re before the Lord in prayer, working to set our travel and ministry schedule. Expect more details about this in our next COLD WATER newsletter.

Ethel and I want you to know how important you are to the ongoing work of MKMI in the Philippines, and around the world. We are presently in a good position financially and expect that to be the case as we move through the year 2023. We believe we’ll get back overseas to our sons and daughters as soon as possible, but wherever we are, we know we have got partners like you to lean on.
Since 1980, I have gone wherever God leads me, and now our staff, students, graduates and churches reproduce that same effort in the Philippines. Your prayers and financial support enables us to do all of this. Thank you!

The cost of educating our students falls mainly upon the MKMI ministry. The students are charged tuition, but the actual budget for housing, feeding and educating them is much more than their tuition can cover. That’s why sponsorship has become so vital. If you would like to sponsor one or more of our current or future students, the total cost to underwrite one of them is $95 monthly, or $855 annually (for nine months of study – vacation time excluded). This covers everything we need to provide for them. And remember, your gifts are always tax-deductible.
We’re believing God will provide sponsors for 35 students. If this is something you feel led to help us with, be sure to designate “Sponsor a Student” from the drop down menu when clicking the link below for online contributions. We will then assign one of our new students to you, with a picture and bio so you can know who it is that you’re supporting.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplications, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippines 4:6
In this one verse, God boils everything down to one simple set of instructions. Don’t worry about anything, but instead, pray about everything. Worry will never change the situation we worry about, so why worry? Worry is just fear in another form, and fear is nothing more than the belief that one or more of God’s promises will fail us in our times of need.
As such, never forget that worry is a sin, just as much as anything else categorized as sin in the Word of God. On the other hand, we’re told to exchange the worry with prayer and thanksgiving. Prayer changes things that nothing else can change. It’s the most potent force on planet earth. Satan fears a praying Christian more than anything else. Prayer moves mountains (Mark 11:22-24).
So make up your mind to remove all worry and fear from your life, and replace all of that wasted energy with faithful, expectant prayer. Fill your heart, mind and mouth with prayers of praise and thanksgiving. Psalms 22:3 tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people, and is enthroned in our lives when we pray this way.
Don’t worry about anything. Give your life over to God, and start filling your day with constant adoration, worship, praise and prayer to God. The more you do this, the easier it will be to crush any temptation to worry about the past, present or future. If God be for you, nobody can stand against you, especially the devil (Romans 8:31-39).
