After months of planning, scouting locations, and above all, prayer, we’re set to go for our two Summer Mission Tours.  Our first group will arrive in mid-July, and begin outreach activity the next day. 

We ask that you please lift this group up in prayer, for a safe journey to the Philippines from start to finish.  We believe there will be no travel problems or delays, in Jesus’ Name.  Also believe with us that everyone will come ready to work, sharing Jesus with these precious Filipinos. 

Finally, please agree with us for the finances to pay our bills and run this ministry over the next few months while we’re overseas.  Your partnership and prayer support are vital to our continued operation.

From May 14-17, we conducted our national youth leadership conference, which we have named IGNITION.  In this newsletter, I will highlight photos from day 3 – May 16. 

The third and final night was filled with anointed praise and worship.

There were powerful drama teams to exhort and inspire us.

Each service, one of our Regional Church leaders took up the offering. Note the size of the box we’re using for this!  We teach GENEROSITY in giving!  

My messages were all about eternity, and how to get ready and stay ready for our soon departure. 

We had Bible trivia games and competition regarding Bible knowledge for all the youth to participate in. 

Thanks to all of you who are giving financial support that helps us win souls, teach the believers and train the ministers and leaders.  In this case, teaching and training our youth leaders, soon to become our overall leaders should Jesus tarry His return. 

And remember, your financial support means you get a tax deduction here in this life, and in the next life, you get the same rewards we get someday soon in heaven.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. 

Matthew 11:28-30

The Bible tells us that in these last days, the world will be enveloped more and more in chaos, confusion, fear and lawlessness (Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3:1-9). That being sad, Jesus has told us He would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).  Praise God for that! Surrounded by all of this evil and ungodliness, Jesus gave us this invitation. 

He told us we could come to Him at any time, especially if we are burdened down with the cares of this world.  He offers us His peace and His rest, which is the only real way to overcome the stress and fear that permeates society these days. So today, I encourage you to take Him up on His offer. Come to Him, and let the rest of God minister to your spirit, soul and body.  How do we do that?  Acts 6:4 has the answer.  Do what the early church leaders did.  Give yourself continually to prayer and Bible study. 

The key here is to give yourself continually to these things.  You have to make time for God daily.  You have to prioritize your day in such a way that the Word of God and prayer are top priority – nothing else.  In my office, I have a desk plaque that reads: THE TOP PRIORITY IS TO KEEP THE TOP PRIORITY THE TOP PRIORITY.  That’s true for all of us. 

The daily decision to come to Jesus in prayer and Bible study is the wisest decision any of us could ever make.  Be sure you’ve made that decision, today and every day.
