As I sit to write this month’s COLD WATER, I’m strongly impressed by God to just give you an overall report on how MKMI is doing as a ministry. Each month, we bring you photos and reports of good things happening around the world as our ministry impacts the people of the Philippines, the USA and around the world. I’m pleased to report to you that nothing has changed – we’re still steady in faith. We follow Isaiah 26:3, and we encourage you to do the same. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3.
Fear for the future is everywhere, exactly as Jesus predicted
(Luke 21:25-28). So what? Throughout the Philippines, our churches are thriving. Our pastors and workers are busy about the Father’s business. Souls are being saved. Sick people are being healed. Our Rhema Bible school is in session and classes are being held daily, Monday through Friday. Our operating budget is good (but we can always use more support)! As we approach the end of 2022, we’re not worried. We’re thankful. Thankful to God, and thankful to all of you who pray for us and with us. Thankful for every dime and dollar that you, our partners, send to us. Thankful!

This month’s Christian Soldier is dealing with the importance of maintaining a thankful heart. I encourage you to read it carefully and prayerfully. No matter how things look in the natural realm, God’s word is still final authority. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8. We’ve just had national elections in the USA, and the temptation to be discouraged is great. It seems as though the evil entities in government have continued to prevail, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Everywhere you look, multitudes of people are turning to the Lord Jesus. The more the ungodly try to shut us down, the louder our voices become, and the farther we go for Jesus. Be thankful. As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday this month, don’t let the world steal your joy! Follow us as we follow Jesus. We will never compromise the truth for anyone, anywhere at any time.
Our churches in the Philippines are growing. Our crusades continue to lead many to the Lord. Our Bible school carries on, and God continues to be glorified. Our best days are all ahead of us, so laugh along with us and God (Psalms 2:1-5)! If He is laughing at the fools who oppose Him, why shouldn’t we? The devil and his puppets can’t stop us. Second Timothy 2:9 declares this truth – the word of God cannot be bound. So rejoice – always! Enter into the courts of heaven with joy and thanksgiving. Don’t be sad – be glad! Jesus is coming soon, and all things will be made right when He does. Until then, its STEADY AS SHE GOES for MKMI. Together, we prevail in Christ. Together, we cannot fail. Because God is for us, nobody can be against us!
Romans 8:31-39.

In these perilous times, Christians need to prioritize their lives in every way possible. With a world paralyzed with fear for the future, the need for end-times separation is critical. We must be different! When Paul wrote his epistle to the Roman believers, he outlined the three basic areas that kept him steady and strong in the midst of intense persecution. We need to know what they are, and how we can be as steady and as strong as he was. In this teaching series, Apostle Mike identifies critical elements of awareness that creates a solid foundation for the challenging days in which we live. All of us need to know these things!

We appreciate your faithful prayers of agreement for these priority issues we’re dealing with now:
In the Philippines:
Fruitful Outreaches. Our churches continue to obey the Great Commission of Mark 16:15-18. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Many salvations and re-dedications are taking place.
Overall Ministry:
Financial Support. Agree with us for steady and sufficient monthly income to run the ministry and continue all avenues of outreach without interruption. We’re feeding on God’s faithfulness (Psalms 37:3). As our COLD-WATER newsletters indicate, we’re busy on many fronts, sharing the gospel with young and old alike. Your support enables us to send our teams wherever the Holy Spirit leads.

Ethel and I want you to know how important you are to the on-going work of MKMI in the Philippines, and around the world. We are presently in a good position financially and expect that to be the case as we move through the fall of 2022. We believe we’ll get back to the Philippines as soon as possible, to resume effective and full-scale ministry operations. But wherever we are, we know we have got partners like you to lean on, as we all stand in faith for complete victory over this global pandemic attack of the enemy. Since 1980, I have gone wherever God leads me, and now our churches reproduce that same effort. We share the gospel in cities, villages and like you see here, in remote jungles untouched by the gospel. Your prayers and financial support enables us to do all of this. Thank you!
RHEMA PHILIPPINES IS TAKING APPLICATIONS
Rhema Bible Training Center is aggressively seeking Christians who are called to do something significant for Jesus with their lives in these last days. This is the Bible school that trained and prepared me before I was sent to the Philippines in 1980. What I learned provided me with the knowledge and foundation for success in ministry. The good news is that our RBTC school in Ozamiz City is available to do the same teaching and training for Filipinos. This school will elevate your abilities to serve Jesus with excellence. This school prepares you for success as an Ambassador of Christ. Contact us for all the details, and how you can enroll in our next trimester of teaching that begins in January. Contact info: Rev. Cheryl Carbajosa, School Director @ 09382071739, or Rev. Emmie Cabanag, School Administrator @ 09127609333.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalms 100:4,5
No matter how things are right now in your life or in the world around us, when you go to God in prayer, do what these verses tell us to do. Coming into the presence of Almighty God with the right attitude is critical. Meditate on 1 Peter 2:9. You and I are part of His chosen generation. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation. Believers are called His own special people. So then, how do we approach the courts of our God? We should proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness, into His marvelous light! Don’t make the mistake of coming to God with an attitude of ingratitude. Be thankful. Every good and perfect gift comes down from heaven, and He never changes (James 1:17). We didn’t decide to love Him – He decided to love us, even when we were unlovely in our sins (Romans 5:8). We’ve got exceedingly great and precious promises from God
(2 Peter 1:3,4). No government, or politician, or anybody – can stop God from loving us and providing for us. Sorrow lasts only for a night because it's always temporary, but joy comes in the morning because God watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). So, lift up the hands that hang down (Hebrews 12:12)! Rejoice! Continually praise the Lord, and let your lips ooze with the godly fruit of thankfulness (Hebrews 13:15).
