Coronavirus: It's Time to Overturn the Tables

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to dominate international news and lifestyles, we will continue to share some of what I’ve been sharing in our Facebook Live Stream Events to help you successfully navigate this virus from hell.

|
The first thing we should be doing is praying for our leaders, according to
1 Timothy 2:1-4
. But pay special attention to verse 4, because that’s the main reason why we should be doing this. Christians should lead quiet and peaceful lives because God is not willing that any perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. In other words, we prioritize prayer for our leaders because of the Great Commission of
Mark 16:15-18
.
We don’t want the authorities making decisions that hinder us from obeying God’s command to evangelize the lost. Politics should have nothing to do with our decision to do this. Satan doesn’t care about our political preferences, so in this instance, it shouldn’t be an issue for any of us either. Of course, the devil wants to see as many as possible die from this virus, and as many as possible devastated economically, socially and emotionally. But those are secondary priorities for him.
In the spirit realm, the elimination of gospel evangelism has always been what this pandemic is all about.
COVID—19 is just another end-time tool designed by Satan to shut down the church, and prevent us from spreading the gospel as commanded in scripture.

IT'S TIME TO OVERTURN THE TABLES
|
|
The Great Commission is not a request or a suggestion. It is a command to keep, pandemic or no pandemic. Christians need to understand that, and recognize this as a marvelous opportunity to let the gospel shine in our lives to a world gripped with fear, panic, confusion and chaos! But for that to happen, we need to rise up and show the ungodly we will not disappear quietly into the night. We will continue to aggressively push back against any attempts to silence the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and
overturned the tables
. And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!" Then His disciples remembered that it was written,
"
Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up."
John 2:13-17.
In violation of our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, it has already been demonstrated that many secular authorities are intending to use the Coronavirus as a means to hinder us from doing what God commands. They’ve done the same in other countries as well. No matter where we are in the world, we need to do what Jesus did.
We need to overturn their tables!
We need to continue doing what the Bible instructs us to do - especially in times like this. We must do these three things to attack the attack Satan has brought against us all.

FIRST: SPEAK TO THE VIRUS
|
|
We talked about this in our April e-newsletter, but it bears repetition here because it’s so important. Follow the example Jesus sets for us. In
Mark 11:14,
He spoke to a fig tree to curse it, and it died within 24 hours. In
Mark 5:41
, He spoke to a 12-year old dead girl and told her to arise, and she did immediately. In
Luke 7:14
, He spoke to a widow’s only son who had died, and was being carried in his coffin to the cemetery for burial. He told him to arise, and he sat up immediately. In
Mark 4:39,
He arose from sleep during a horrific storm that threatened to sink the boat and drown His disciples. He spoke to the wind and waves with the words “Peace, be still!”, and immediately there was a great calm on the lake.
Jesus said in
John 14:12
, the works He did we can do. And in
Mark 11:23,
He told us to speak to the problems (mountains) in our lives, and if we spoke in faith and stayed in faith, those mountains would move. Jesus tells the truth. If He said we could speak to problems (mountains) to move them, we can! COVID-19 is the mountain that WILL MOVE when we speak to it in Jesus’ name.

SECOND: SPEAK TO THE REAL ENEMY
|
|
The source of this pandemic is hell. The author is Satan. His demons are charged with unleashing it worldwide to create as much fear, panic and death as possible. The devil and his demons are the real enemy here. Satan just uses nations and governments, like the Chinese in this instance, to introduce global attacks like COVID-19, but he and his demons are the ones we need to attack and go after. How? With our authority.
Ephesians 6:12-13
tells us we don’t wrestle (fight) against flesh and blood, but against the demonic army Satan has on earth doing his dirty work. We don’t need to pray about any of this. We just need to exercise our authority in the name of Jesus. And only the body of Christ can do this.
First Peter 5:9
tells us that when we resist the devil, he flees from us.
Philippians 2:9
tells us the name of Jesus is above every other name. COVID-19, Satan, fear, disease, confusion – those are all names under the name of Jesus.
Acts 3:6-16
tells us that faith in the name of Jesus produces God’s power for miracles. We need that same power now to kill this virus from the roots.
Ephesians 1:20-23
tells us Jesus sits at God’s right hand, far above every name that is named, now and forever. We have authority to use His wonderful name to destroy the works of the devil. Use it! Speak it! Apply it! This is how we torment the devil and his demons. In
Matthew 8:29,
demons asked Jesus if He had come to torment them before their time. Yes, He did, and yes, we have now in His name! Our words of faith carry divine power to torment evil spirits and erase this horrible pandemic when spoken in Jesus’ name.
Esther 4:14
is for us now – we have been born for such a time as this.

THIRD: SPEAK TO THE UNGODLY
|
|
We must be like blind Bartimaeus in
Mark 10:46-48.
The more he was warned to keep quiet, the louder he shouted! The ungodly have made themselves known in this day and age. Corrupt media, liberal educators, reprobate celebrities, evil and treasonous politicians and spineless law enforcement – all collaborate to silence and legislate us completely out of society. We must follow the example of the early church. In
Acts 4:18-20
and
Acts 5:29
, when commanded to cease preaching in the name of Jesus, Peter and other leaders told their persecutors that they answer to a higher authority – and if necessary, will obey God rather than man. This is an in-your-face message to anyone who dares to try and shut us down. We will continue to fight. We will continue to shine the light. We will not tone down our message. We will stand our ground, as commanded in
Mark 16:15-18
. Let the world beware!
Numbers 23:21
says the shout of a king was among them – “them” being the ungodly. This shout is for us as much as it was for them.
Joshua 6:5
is our mandate for our time. We will shout out the gospel message with a great shout, and the walls of attempted tyranny will come crashing down in front of us.

Since this virus attacked the world, I’ve been unable to travel and itinerate to raise funds to keep our ministry going. My last church meeting was March 15
th
. Nothing since then. But from then until now, as
Psalms 37:3
declares, our God has once again proven Himself faithful to meet our ministry needs. All our bills are being paid. Our operating expenses in both the USA and Philippines are being met (with some cutting and pruning notwithstanding). And as we move from springtime to the summer months ahead, we are excited to see how our God will move to continue to meet our needs day-by-day.

be yours in Jesus’ name – good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men give back to you! Don’t try to figure out who God will use, or how He will meet your needs. Just trust Him to do it! He has a million ways to do this for you. If God be for you, who can be against you?
(Romans 8:31).

LIVE STREAMING CONTINUING
|
Facebook Live Streaming has now become a regular arm of MKMI outreach. Started on March 18
th
, this was initially done to address the widespread fear that descended upon planet earth as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and my inability to travel to churches to minister. The response has been nothing short of amazing!
We’re reaching tens of thousands that we would never have been reaching otherwise. The Lord has told us to continue with this indefinitely.
If you give the devil enough rope, he’ll hang himself every time. This is an example of that. 3 months ago, the idea of doing Live Streaming as a form of outreach was the furthest thing from our minds.
But God saw this whole thing coming, and look where we are today with this!

It reminds me of what happened when the devil tried to shut the church down right after it got started.
Acts 8:1-4
tells us that because of the intense persecution coming against the church in Jerusalem, disciples were scattered abroad in every direction – preaching Jesus to the unsaved wherever they went! Like Paul said in
Philippians 1:12
, what happened to me (church meetings cancelled) has resulted in a brand-new arm of MKMI ministry, reaching people worldwide in places we’d never get to any other way.

From the beginning of my ministry, I’ve made it a priority to lay hands on the sick in every crusade I conduct. So many miracles have happened by following these instructions found in
Mark 16:15-18.
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them;
they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Mark 16:15-18
This picture was taken in the Philippines, sometime during the dry season (March to April) of 1981, when I would do extended trips into the mountainous interior of Negros, Bohol, Leyte and Cebu islands, preaching in tiny churches and holding open-air crusades like this. This is not Ethel by my side – we weren’t married until several years after this crusade was held. This young lady was one of the many pastors working for Jesus in remote places that nobody pays any attention to. I did this crusade to help her reach out for the Lord in her village.
From then until now and beyond, these are the places I’ve dedicated my life to reach for Jesus – going to the out-of-the-way areas where nobody else goes, laying hands on those who are sick and in need of healing. At that time, there was no MKMI ministry. It was just me. If you don’t despise the day of small beginnings, God will bless you, as He’s done with me
(Zechariah 4:10)

FINAL THOUGHT: ARE YOU LOOKING AROUND AT ALL THINGS?
|
And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple.
So when He had looked around at all things,
as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.
Mark 11:11
Christians must always see the bigger picture when facing spiritual attacks like this COVID-19 pandemic. We need to do what Jesus did when He entered the temple and surveyed the sight. He looked around at
all
things,
not a few things, most things or some things, but all things. Are you viewing this pandemic with the proper perspective? Are you seeing everything? Do you really know what’s going on, from the spiritual perspective?
Hosea 4:6
says that God’s people perish for a lack of knowledge. That has
always
been the devil’s main weapon to use against us in spiritual combat. We have the authority from heaven to stop this attack in its tracks. But if you don’t know who you are, what you can do or what Satan’s true objective is here, you can’t be the mountain-moving believer God is counting on.
Yes, this is a virus attack that has killed many, and made many sick. Certainly, the devil is happy about that. But beyond that, do you understand this is a demonically inspired attack against the church, and the Great Commission? Have you discerned
all things?
The world can’t go where only Christians can go to destroy and defeat this attack – because its roots are spiritual, not physical.
We do our best to obey those in authority, and be law-abiding citizens. But when those same authorities start using their clout to suppress our God-given mandate to preach the gospel, that’s when we need to step over into civil disobedience, just like Christians have done since the days of the early church. In the name of being “safe”, our religious freedoms are now under attack, and that’s all part of Satan’s plan to shut down the preaching of the Gospel. We cannot, and must not, allow that. Its critical we look around at everything going on here. Ungodly people are trying to use this pandemic as an excuse to close down churches. They hate Jesus, the gospel and you and I. It’s time to push back. We must do whatever must be done to resist them. We must be fearless in a world bound by fear. We must attack the attack – not just against the virus itself, but against the evil agenda hard at work to destroy the church.
Its time to overturn their tables!
