Welcome to everyone's favorite part of HOT From The Pit! - The Show Us What You're Cooking (SUWYC) Highlight Reel!


We're doing something a little different this month, we're showcasing everyone's favorite cooks from throughout 2023 in this special recap edition of the SUWYC Highlight Reel! The pics below were taken from submissions to the special "SUWYC 2023 - A Yearly Recap" topic started by Troutman.

What better way to kick this 2023 recap off than with a highlight cook from the man himself, Troutman. Check out this smorgasbord of BBQ and the tri tip below.

DaveD brought the heat to these Wild Fork pork chops. Perfectly kissed with flame.

Draznnl smoked and sliced this perfectly bark beef brisket.

Richard Chrz grilled and sliced the most delectable part of the steer ....the ribeye cap. A steak fit for royalty.

mnavarre braised this beef ribs and served it over mashed potatoes and topped it with fresh chives and a homemade sauce.

Next up we head down to the beautiful desert of New Mexico where our good friend barelfly nailed this beef barrio taco, check out that action shot! Below that is a gorgeous paella.

58limited went the extra mile with these Korean smoke-fried ribs.

Red Man seared this New York strip on his Slow 'N Sear insert, kissed by flame and enjoyed by all; below that are his pulled chuck tacos.

TWbarbecue grilled these pork chops over live fire and then added this wonderful glaze for a sweet and savory meal.

hoovarmin grilled up this New York strip steak and served it with a side of mussels and pasta with white sauce and garlic naan bread.

Old Glory is cookin up some skirt steak fajitas in his cast iron pan over the coals, followed by a live fire tri tip.

More live fire cookin' from FireMan and Huskee; they did these ribeye steaks at two different remote spots in northern Michigan's national forests.

An outdoor chicken fry from David Norcross; all the comfort food goodness with no smell in the house.

Here's Skip serving up some "shotgun shells".

A colorful treat from mgaretz, char siu pork ribs.

3 great cooks from gboss; picanha salad, a classic burger with grilled corn on the cob, and surf & turf.

Next, Johnny Booth delights us with his "best brisket of the year" (look at that smoke ring!), followed by a skirt steak cooked directly on the coals.

SheilaAnn recaps her sliders and ribs cooks. Cookbook-quality shots!

Here's an action shot from Panhead John and his monster porterhouse.

How about this amazing action shot captured by DTro. He had his Vortex insert screaming after those chicken wings.
