HCW convenes faith-based organizations for better global health outcomes in developing nations

Helping Children Worldwide has learned the power of collaboration in the child welfare mission through our Global Advocacy work. By connecting with other child welfare leaders around the world, HCW contributes to and benefits from a global knowledge exchange, and the work of HCW and the Child Reintegration Centre is recognized all over the world.
In searching for a similar global network for NGOs who support public health initiatives, it has become apparent that no such network exists, though we have learned that others supporting medical missions are facing the same challenges in finding the best ways to sustainably provide healthcare to the most vulnerable.

HCW seeks to replicate the successes we've enjoyed through the child welfare network model by launching a Global Public Health Coalition to connect affiliates, advocates, and allies who support public health initiatives all over the world. We invite anyone engaged in hospital, clinic, or outreach medical services in developing countries to join us for a virtual meeting in Mid-March, date to be decided. Please email Laura Horvath for more information.
HCW joins Transform Alliance Africa to advocate for family-based care
HCW has joined Transform Alliance Africa, a confederation of like-minded organizations that seek to influence policy regarding the care of orphans and abandoned children in countries across Africa.

TAA shares our vision of an Africa free of orphanages, where all children will have the opportunity to grow up in safe and loving families. HCW is among the first member organizations with programs based in West Africa, and we are excited to be a part of this dynamic partnership.

Let the children come to me
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
