Greetings! we hope you enjoy reading the latest about the Child Reintegration Centre and Mercy Hospital. Thankfully, COVID is on the decrease in Sierra Leone and we are grateful that none of the children enrolled in our programs have been infected by the virus, nor have the CRC or Mercy staff been affected. With your generous support, the CRC and Mercy continue to faithfully and courageously pursue the vision to break the cycle of extreme poverty for children and families in Sierra Leone, through education, health care, community building, and family mentoring. 2-Day Reunification Workshop endorsed by Sierra Leone goverment The CRC's new Transition Coaching and Mentoring Department successfully hosted the first 2-Day Workshop on Family Reintegration in collaboration with 1MillionHome and Helping Children Worldwide.  Sierra Leonean Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs Manty Tarawalli opened the workshop with her commitment to collaborate with the CRC to reintegrate children with families, both from the streets and institutions in Sierra Leone.

Carry the Light ceremony honored CRC and Mercy founder Bishop Yambasu When Bishop John Yambasu tragically died in a traffic accident in August, he left behind an epic legacy of love and service, but he also left a huge hole in the hearts of the many people he led and inspired. The Child Reintegration, Mercy Hospital, and Missionary Training Centre staff members held a very special candlelight ceremony to honor the bishop and reignite their commitment to his ministry of transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families in Sierra Leone.
2nd Annual Rising Tides Conference will be held via Zoom at 1PM on Nov 12 & 19, and we hope you will join us for a vibrant time of learning and collaboration on how the global church is helping orphaned and vulnerable children thrive in families.  Speakers include Rev. Tom Berlin, Floris UMC and Rev. Rob Lough, Ebenezer UMC. LEARN MORE

Update on UMVIM travel teams
Mission teams will not travel for the remainder of 2020 due to COVID, but we are hoping for a resumption of travel in 2021. In the meantime, the missions department is putting together opportunities for "virtual missions" to connect the CRC and Mercy with supporters in the US. Share the joy of Christmas with our CRC students
Whether you sponsor a student or just want to share the joy of the season, you can make Christmas a special time for vulnerable children and youth in Sierra Leone. All the CRC students are invited to the annual party featuring a festive lunch, social time, music, and a Nativity play put on by the students themselves. Donate by clicking on the button below.
Write the vision; make it plain

And the Lord answered me:
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.

For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.

If it seems slow, wait for it;
It will surely come; it will not delay.
