We regret to inform you of the death of Hyma Levin on Tuesday, July 5. Hyma served with distinction as the Director of Education at Beth Emet from 1992 to 2005.
Hyma was the mother of Oren (Beth) Levin and Joshua (Jessica) Levin; grandmother of Alex, Daniel, Peri, Aubrey, and Eli; and sister of George (Stacy) Jacobs and Harriet Jacobs (John Domke).
There will be an in-person service on Friday, July 8 at 1:30 pm at Beth Emet Synagogue. The service will be live-streamed. Masks are required and vaccination status must be up-to-date.
Shiva will be at the Jacobs residence (8101 Keeler Avenue; Skokie) on Sunday through Tuesday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Shiva will also be held at the Carrington of Lincolnwood (3501 Northeast Parkway; Lincolnwood) on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. The Shiva Minyan will be held Sunday through Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
