The Reverend Jackson was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Taiwo Jackson and Isabella Sarah.
He attended the Virginia Theological Seminary graduating in 1988 and was ordained a Deacon on June 11, 1988 and Priest on June 1, 1989 by Bishop William Arthur Beckham.
Father Jackson served as Vicar of St. Dismiss Episcopal Mission at Graterford Prison from 1995 to 2011, Vicar of St. Mary's, Philadelphia 1995 to 2010, Rector of St. Philip's Church Buffalo, New York from 1989 to 1995, and Deacon in Training at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Columbia, South Carolina.
He was the Interim Rector at St. George St. Barnabas when he died.
He was an active and faithful member of the Episcopal Black Clericus, was a member of the vicar's association, and President of local chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians.
Father Jackson served the Diocese for many years with care for each parish he served and will long be remembered for his dedication and service.
