Pastor John Richard "Dick" Hunt

We offer our Christian sympathy and the promise of the resurrection to the family of Pastor J. Richard "Dick" Hunt who joined the Church Triumphant on March 31, 2020.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a
memorial service will be considered at a future date.
Pastor Hunt retired after 37 years of pastoral ministry. Pastor Hunt and his wife, Judy, have lived in Fishers, Indiana, since 2012. Pastor Hunt wrote a haiku/tanka poem every day for the past 20 years, some of which can be found on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dick.hunt.33).

God Delights in Us
Alive or dead God
delights in us because love
knows what death feels like
knows what grief and mourning feel
like to search through what is lost
to find the light of new life. - jrh
We give thanks for Dick's life, and pray God's blessings for comfort and peace for his family and loved ones.
Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord;
And let light perpetual shine upon him.
