Over 259 people have been killed as 350 aftershocks rock the Island of Lombok following the double earthquakes from last week. The most recent aftershock measured 6.2 on the Richter scale. With over 1,400 injured and close to 270,000 displaced rescue workers continue to dig through the rubble to find any signs of life.

At 6:46pm Sunday, August 5, 2018 a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Lombok with the epicenter located 11 miles south-west of East Lombok Island. As the death toll continues to rise, the Indonesian government and International Emergency Response entities have scaled up their assistance.
