Kauaʻi CC Apiary Took 2nd Place!


KCC Apiary won 2nd Place in Formal Judging in the State for the Hawaiian Honey Challenge on the Big Island Dark Honey Category. You can purchase honey and other bee-related products produced at Kauaʻi CC at the apiary classroom and the bookstore.

2024 Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Service and 2024 Lecturer's Award for Outstanding Service. Nominations open thruogh December 6, 2024.


The Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Service recognizes a Civil Service (clerical/maintenance/grounds or APT) employee for outstanding work performance, service, leadership and/or fostering of excellence in higher education.

The Lecturer's Award for Outstanding Service recognizes the lecturer for outstanding demonstrated work performance, service, leadership and/or the fostering of excellence in higher education.

Kauaʻi CC Student Awarded


Congratulations, Asia Vito! Asia–a Spring ‘24 KCC Hospitality & Tourism (HOST) program graduate–was the first ever recipient of a brand new award category at the 25th annual Mālama Awards ceremony.


Each fall Kaua‘i’s chapter of HLTA (Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association) hosts the Mālama Awards ceremony. This huge event recognizes the best of the best in our local hospitality industry. This year’s ceremony–held Thursday, November 21 at The Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i–included a new award category especially for Kaua‘i Community College HOST students: Outstanding KCC HOST Student of the Year. 


Honolulu Museum of Art Display



KCC Library invites you to see and touch tools used in an ahupua'a! This collection is on loan from the Honolulu Museum of Art and will be on display from November 14-December 12.

Mahalo from The PRISM Club



The PRISM Club at KCC thanks everyone who attended and did the Time Warp at our fundraising screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, November 22, at the Performing Arts Center. With 258 tickets sold (KCC students and employees, and community members), the event was a huge success! Much fun was had by all, with costumes galore! Special thanks to Greg Von Hausch at the PAC for hosting the event, KCC Computer Services and Steve Watkins for technology troubleshooting, UH Foundation and the UH Commission for LGBTQ+ Equality for sponsorship, and Tino Ombrello for event tech services.


We'll see you all again next year for another interactive screening with a full cast!

Kauaʻi Pride Scholarships



Kauaʻi Pride Parade & Festival promotes and celebrates peace, acceptance, and unity for everyone on our island, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or background. 


This award is open to anyone regardless of gender, sex, or orientation, including allies of LGBTQIA2s+ communities. Applicants should demonstrate a strong connection to the LGBTQIA2s+ community.



Application deadline is April 30, 2025, and awardees will be announced on June 7, 2025.
