In-person worship every Sunday with Rev. Laura Stratton, Pastor
9am at Mt. Zion UMC & 11am at Scottsville UMC
Due to the substantial spread of Covid in our area, we encourage everyone, even vaccinated individuals, to wear masks in worship.
Mt. Zion and SUMC
will be having services on Sunday, December 26th
led by retired Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Butcher

Pastor Laura will be on vacation Dec. 25-Jan. 1.
In the event of an emergency, please call her cellphone at
540-742-8148.

The church office will also be closed at this time
Mt. Zion & SUMC will each be making a donation as a church to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to help in their work assisting the survivors of the recent tornadoes. 100% of the money donated goes toward helping survivors. If you want to donate to this, please make your check out to Mt. Zion UMC and write "UMCOR" on the memo line or if you are giving cash, please put "UMCOR" on the outside of your envelope. Thank you!
Helping our Neighbors in Need

Scottsville UMC will be assisting a local Scottsville family, Terrance Agee & Tabitha Hunt, with ties to SUMC following a house fire. Terrance was an active member of SUMC during his teenage years.

If you would like to make a donation to help this family get back on their feet, mark your donation "Family Assistance" and place it in the offering plate. Please make your donation by January 2nd so we can assist them as soon as possible.

Thank you for your willingness to help our neighbors in need.

Many of our Reverse Advent items are still needed.
It's not too late for you to bring in items to donate to the Scottsville Bread of Life. If you are not able to find the exact sizes requested, just choose
something close. Every item is appreciated.
A Note of Thanks & Encouragement
Dear Scottsville UMC,
Keep up the great work you are doing sharing the love of Jesus and the gospel with the good people in Scottsville. Your live nativity scene this past Saturday (Dec. 4th) was greatly appreciated.
Blessings,
Debbie & Tim McCrory
