'Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS".

Luke 1:30-31

I cannot imagine what it was like for Mary to be visited by an Angel and told that she would conceive a baby through the power of the Holy Spirit. At the same time as feeling terrified, she must have felt favored and loved by the Lord. I know I would have. She humbly asked, "How could this be?" The Angel said to her (verse 35) “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God."

Mary replied, “let it be unto me according to your word.” She called herself a maidservant of the Lord and aligned with God's will for her. What bravery and faith! I admire Mary and take an example from her. Let's take an example from Mary next time God is asking something of us that is unimaginable.
