THE ENERGY RESOURCES CENTER PRESENTS

The UIC-ERC has an ongoing research collaboration with Nuvve presents modeling results detailing the emissions reduction potential and projections of the economic benefits of electric school buses (ESB). The model quantifies the emission benefits and reduced fuel costs from displacing diesel fuel with electricity using ESBs for a variety of school bus fleets across Ameren’s service territory in central Illinois. The study also quantifies the additional emissions and economic benefits of utilizing vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.
