The 69 Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade with Jose Altuve and James Harden as our Grand Marshals put everyone in the holiday spirit. We are grateful for many things in Houston, and this year not having a hurricane tops our list.
Enjoyed visiting Meek Elementary School to dedicate their new park. SPARK  School Program works with schools and neighborhoods to develop community parks on public school grounds. In the past 30 years, SPARK has built over 200+ community parks throughout the Houston/Harris County area.
I had the honor of being the keynote speaker welcoming new police officers to H.P.D. They were already peace officers who chose to move to Houston to serve. Thank you for your service and God bless the Cadet Class L-12-18.
Houston is proud to pay tribute to our men and women in the military by providing an annual “Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration”. This civic celebration honors and celebrates the brave men, women, and families who fight for our liberty and freedom.
Honored to present a proclamation from Mayor Turner to help kick off HPD's & Houston Citizens and Police Academy Alumni Association's 33rd Annual Comida/Food Drive. Thank you to all our volunteers as well as Fiesta Mart Inc. and the Pepsi Bottling Company.
