Editor's Note: We held our November service Shabbos service a week after the horrific murders at the Pittsburgh synagogue, and during Holocaust Education Week in Toronto. We packed the chapel at the MNJCC to pray, sing and mourn together. It was not just a sad service: we also celebrated an anniversary and doted on the joyful babies in their parents' arms. Rabbi Goldberg addressed the congregation with humility and restraint, admitting that she felt somewhat "speechless" in the face of such tragedy. But she was able to inspire with ideas on how to move forward with strength, action and commitment to making a better world. Her address in the form of an edited essay is below:

SHIR LIBEYNU SCHOOL
We could not have joined a more welcoming community than the one we found with Congregation Shir Libeynu. The School is also a great fit for our child, his interests, and our wishes for a progressive Jewish education.
-Jon & Denis, Parents/Members
Great news: We have a school venue in the Annex and are now accepting registrations for the Winter/Spring session. First class starts on January 20, 2019.
