Walmart Chile's vehicle, the first of its kind in Latin America, operates through a water-electrolysis process that uses renewable electricity to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Hy2gen is a world-leading company in developing, financing, building, and operating plants for RFNBO-certified hydrogen production. The LOI lays the foundation for collaboration between Plug Power and Hy2gen to advance hydrogen use in southern France. Plug will support the transport and distribution of hydrogen produced at Sunrhyse and continue expanding its turnkey hydrogen forklift solutions for logistics bases across the region.

Network Rail, working with rail and energy partners Freightliner and GeoPura, has transported hydrogen for the first time on Britain’s rail network, marking a major step forward for both the rail and energy sectors.
The milestone was achieved yesterday (Wednesday 3 December) at Network Rail’s Test Tracks* site in Tuxford, where freight operator Freightliner hauled a train of gas containers from Doncaster to High Marnham – marking Britain’s first shipment of hydrogen by rail.

TotalEnergies and TES plan US e-methane plant targeting Japanese exports

TotalEnergies, TES and three Japanese gas companies have begun preparing the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase for a hydrogen-based e-methane project in the US. Located in Nebraska, the Live Oak project will use around 250MW of electrolysis and captured biogenic CO2 to produce up to 75,000 tonnes of synthetic gas for export to Japan.
Under a Joint Development and Operating agreement, Osaka Gas, Toho Gas, and Itochu will take a combined 33.3% stake in the project, with TES and TotalEnergies each retaining 33.35%.

BMW deploys 130-strong fleet of hydrogen automated guided vehicles

BMW has begun deploying 130 hydrogen fuel cell automated guided vehicles (AGVs) at its Leipzig plant, using systems developed by UK firm Intelligent Energy.
The technology provides an example of how automated, zero-emission transport can operate effectively in defined environments where routes and activities are predictable.

IREC launches plant for advanced hydrogen technology manufacturing

The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) has claimed it can manufacture solid oxide cells (SOCs) for hydrogen production and power using 3D-printed ceramic components. The Spanish public research institute has launched a world-first demonstration at its Merce Lab pilot line in Catalonia – a pre-industrial manufacturing facility with a capacity of around 2MW per year designed to validate large-scale SOC production.
