News and Updates

Property Tax Rates - The Select Board plans to set next year's property tax rates at its upcoming meeting. Setting the rates involves a dizzying array of financial analysis and a limited number of choices available to the Board. The Town Administrator has published a helpful document that explains the process for setting the tax rates. A presentation prepared by the Board of Assessors is also available that was reviewed and discussed at the November 21 meeting.

Setting property tax rates is a complicated process that directly affects every resident and business owner in Brookline. The Board will hold a public hearing at 7:00 PM this coming Tuesday. All are invited to attend.
