Administrative Information
Student Arrival Reminders

Students are expected to be in classrooms, prepared to learn promptly at  8:15am each morning. We ask that you make sure students arrive no later than  8:10am, to give adequate time for students to get to class and prepare for the day.

Students arriving after  8:10am will need to enter the Main Entrance on the East side of the school. Students in grades K-4 who arrive late for school must be signed in by a parent or responsible adult; students in grades  5-8 may sign themselves in if they arrive late for school.

You can find more information on student arrival expectations in the  2016-17 TCGIS Family Handbook or in the  Attendance Procedures.
Vision and Hearing Screenings

Vision and Hearing Screenings for all TCGIS  first graders, third graders, and fifth graders will take place on  December 6th and December 7, 2016 by Sight and Hearing Association. We have worked with this organization in the past and have been very pleased with their services. You can learn more about the organization  HERE.

If you have any questions about these screenings, you can contact Gael Braddock at  [email protected].
Visit the European Christmas Market

The European Christmas Market is here! Head over to the Union Depot December 1-4 and December 8-11. Head over to Burbach's European Pancakes (run by a TCGIS family) for  Potato Pancakes, Jägerschnitzel, Aki's Pretzels and Hot Apple Cider.  10% of what is made on  Thursday, December  8, will go to the Intern Program at TCGIS.

Annual TCGIS Winter Market/Entrepreneurs' Day
December 15, 2016

It's winter time again so mark your calendars for the annual Winter Market / Entrepreneurs' Day!  On  Thursday, December 15, our  5th and 6th graders will open their stores to other classes and the public - you! The market (including a food court) will be hosted in rooms 316, 318, and 319 and opens at 2pm.

The idea of the project was to have kids understand how the business world works.
After talking about markets, brands, pricing, advertisement, etc., we are now reaching a point where it's time to put our knowledge into practice.

More information will be provided in the next Elternbrief.   We look forward to your visit!

PTO Rummage Sale Fundraiser

The TCGIS PTO is planning a spring rummage sale and donations are needed!
We are looking for gently used items so let's get those garages, closets and drawers cleaned out! If you are going through your kids' outgrown summer clothes, they will be especially useful. We are accepting all types of items- clothing, toys, books, baby items, household items, sporting goods, etc. It's not too early to donate.

Donations can be dropped off at TCGIS any time during school hours.
PLEASE HELP US spread the word about our rummage sale. Ask friends, family, and neighbors if they have any items for donation, too!

Winter Clothing Drive

Service Learning, a Student Life group that's mission is to help our community and world become a better place, would like to inform you that we are having a winter clothing drive. While you are going through your winter clothing please donate any winter items you won't be needing any longer to the boxes located around the school building labeled Winter Clothing Drive. We will be donating the clothing to a homeless shelter in St. Paul called the Catholics Charities Dorothy Day Center. We will be accepting clothing until December 16.
