Host a MP School Intern from Spain
We need a host family for our Hillview/Oak Knoll intern, Eva, early twenties, who comes from Soria, Spain. Her previously arranged hosts are not able to take an intern after all, so we have a great opportunity for another family. We ask host families to share their home with our intern for a 3 - 6 month period. The interns will return to their countries in mid-late June. Our interns assist in the Spanish specialist classrooms at Oak Knoll and in language classrooms at Hillview. They speak English and they are taking English enrichment classes through a Palo Alto adult program.

Be a host family and share your American culture with our interns!  For questions regarding hosting an intern or additional information, contact parent volunteer coordinator, Liliana Perazich here   or call 415-297-0125.  Feel free to pass this info to anyone you may feel would be interested. The families do not need to be a MPCSD family.

Hillview Site Council
Tuesday, December 12, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the large conference room in the Hillview Office. We will be discussing the district and school survey to be administered by Panorama in January. We will be receiving updates on student wellness programs and the new California Department of Education "Dashboard" to evaluate school performance.

We are a collaborative group who meet monthly to discuss school-wide goals. Our mission is to empower all students to be resilient problem solvers, compassionate contributors, and lifelong learners during their journey of academic and personal growth.  All parents in our community are welcome to attend these meetings.

H eartwarming Winter Recipes
Cold winter months are the perfect time to whip up a bowl of vegetable-based soups and stews. Soups make it very easy to get in your daily servings of veggies and to try out something new. Satiating ingredients, including legumes, quinoa, and barley, offer an excellent source of fiber and protein and can easily be added to soups. Recipes  here!
