St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.

Dear St. Rita Parents,

Over the past few months I have witnessed our teachers and staff going above and beyond educating and caring for your children on a daily basis. It is certainly evident that these men and women have dedicated themselves to providing a nurturing and faith-filled environment in which your child can flourish. With the anticipation of the Feast of Christmas, I would like to invite you and your family to participate in helping give our teachers and staff a monetary gift this Christmas.
As in the past, there is certainly no obligation in participating and there is no specific amount that I am requesting. If you wish to participate send in your monetary gift (cash or check) by Monday, December 16. Please mark your envelope
Attention : Mrs. Tiezzi and make your check payable to St. Rita School.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity. May your Advent and Christmas season be filled with God’s peace and joy.

God Bless,

Mrs. Tiezzi
Staff Change in January:
Please be advised that Miss Sharkey, our PE & Health teacher, has accepted a new job at the CREC Autism School beginning in January. We thank her for her service to the students at SRS and wish her well in her new endeavor. We are currently interviewing for someone to fill her position.
Once someone is hired you will be notified.
Help decorate our school family Christmas tree! A few years ago we began a new traditional of a school family Christmas tree. Each family is asked to share a Christmas ornament for our tree. These ornaments will be returned after Christmas. Divine Mercy Parish News
During Advent time we prepare for the birth of Jesus at Christmas. Each week during Advent a family lights the Advent wreath at all of the Masses. We are looking for a family for each Mass (Saturday at 4:00pm, Sunday 7:30, 9:00, 11:30) for the four weeks of Advent (12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22). If you are interested in having your family light the Advent wreath at Mass, please let Megan Zinn know as soon as you can at  divine.mercy.ore@gmail.com ! Let me know the date and Mass you would like to volunteer for. First come, first serve! It is always a lot of fun for the children, and is a wonderful way to get them involved during the Advent season.

We are also looking for school age children (ages 10 and up) to participate as readers.  Again, this year we will have a Children’s Choir and a Teen Choir at this Mass.  More information on Children’s Choir practice dates will follow.

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  jbruno.stritaschool@gmail.com .
The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school

Over the summer, participating brands began to change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team has worked hard to build a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app , available now. The new app features state-of-the-art technology that allows you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online.

If you still have traditional Box Tops clips at home, make sure to send them to school. We will still earn cash for all clipped Box Tops until they expire. Better yet, you can “double dip” during the packaging transition by clipping traditional Box Tops AND scanning your store receipt containing participating products.

Visit amazonsmile.com , and anytime you purchase an eligible item, Amazon will donate a portion of the profit to our school! Select “Divine Mercy Parish
