OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI
Dear St. Rita Parents,

Thank you to everyone who has sent in a Christmas ornament to help decorate our school Christmas tree. There is still time to share 1 family ornament for our school tree preferably one that bears your family name. Please send in an ornament this week or next to place on our tree. The ornament can be either handmade or manufactured but I would like it to include your family name. After Christmas all ornaments will be returned to you (as long as they are labeled). Thank you for helping to make our Christmas tree reflective of our unified school community of St. Rita.

Over the past few months I have witnessed our teachers and staff going above and beyond educating and caring for your children on a daily basis. It is certainly evident that these men and women have dedicated themselves to providing an academically excellent, nurturing and faith-filled environment in which your child can flourish. With the anticipation of the Feast of Christmas, I would like to invite you and your family to participate in helping give our teachers and staff a monetary gift this Christmas.

As in the past, there is certainly no obligation in participating and there is no specific amount that I am requesting. If you wish to participate, send in your monetary gift by Monday, December 17. Please mark your envelope Attention : Mrs. Tiezzi and make your check payable to St. Rita School.

Our school-wide Advent Giving Project is over and once again our families are being very generous helping those in need. One little boy emptied his piggyback, another child asked to do extra chores around the house, and one young man used the proceeds from his lawn mowing service in order to bring in a donation. Thank you for helping to make Christmas a bit brighter for some of our parish families.

Our annual Christmas Concert-Nativity Pageant is today beginning at 1:15 P.M. in St. Rita Church. This is for the families of students in grades Kindergarten through grade 3. Students will be dismissed immediately following the concert to their parents. Our school band, chorus and students in grades 4 and 5 will perform at our evening concert beginning at 6:30 P.M. this evening in the church. Dress for both concerts is holiday best unless your child will be in costume for the Nativity Play. I am looking forward to seeing you there.

We have started two new initiatives over the past few months and need you assistance to move them forward. First is our new cultural awareness bulletin board. Every month we will be highlighting a different culture which makes up our school family and would like you to share your traditions, religious (including influential Saints) customs, family stories, and artifacts. In January we will feature the Latino culture. We also have the Alumni Connection Bulletin Board highlighting our graduates-past and present. Information can be found on the school web page under Alumni. Thanks for your contributions to both these initiatives.

We will be having a Christmas Prayer Service on Friday, December 21 at 11:15. Please join us if you can. School will dismiss on December 21 at 12:15 and there will be NO Aftercare.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity. May your Advent and Christmas season be filled with God’s peace and joy.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
