 Our Sunday school and nursery are both open today. Sunday school begins in the upper hall at 9:45, with children returning to their families at the sharing of the Peace. The nursery is open every Sunday from 9:45-11:30. Families are always welcome!

The Roots of Jesus Study Group meets for its 65th consecutive study session on Sunday 12/11/22 from 8:45 to 9:45 AM in the Chapter Room.  Newcomers are always welcome. We are studying the contributions of II Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel.  These prophecies mark a radical turning point in the scriptural background of Jesus.  Up to this point God had only revealed His “outer personality.  That was now to be radically changed from the initial war-God, El Shaddai, to the new and inner designation, now, of loving and caring Father.  In creating man and woman with the gift of His own image, i.e., that we now have the same capacities as his. That at last, He could now speak with us, and we with Him,  as equals.  This “equality” was one of consciously seeing the span of life as the journey in search of one’s truest self.  As God's inner consciousness was emerging, mankind  also had  discovered its mission in what the three prophets were teaching. Second Isaiah was his call to become the Messiah, the redeemer; Jeremiah discovers how enormously  difficult the journey is, and Ezekiel tells us of our promised rebirth and God’s invitation to join Him in His everlasting kingdom. Join us in this life-long search. Our resource person is Dr. Bob Hanson, theologian and linguist. We look forward to learning alongside you.

Weekly Ministries

• St. Elizabeth's Jubilee Center is offered every Tuesday from 8:30 am to 11 am.
• The Food Pantry is open from 9 am to 11 am every Thursday.
• Noon prayer is offered every Wednesday via Zoom.
• The Tuesday 12:10 Eucharist gathers weekly in Emmanuel Chapel. Join via Zoom.
• Contemplative Prayer is offered every Thursday at 4:30 pm via Zoom.
