The Volleyball Alberta offices will be closed for the holidays starting on

Thursday, December 19th and will reopen on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

Volleyball Alberta has avoided setting key dates and deadlines during this break. If you cannot reach us before December 19th, we ask that you contact us after January 6th so we can provide you with support.

Our warmest wishes for a safe and happy holiday!

Best of luck to all our athletes and clubs as the 2025 indoor season kicks off!

We look forward to seeing you in the new year for another exciting volleyball season!

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS

It's a busy December as the start of the club season is upon us. Please take a moment to read some of the important updates and reminders below:

Tournament Registration

14U-18U Premier #1 Registration has now closed! If your team missed the December 11 registration deadline, please contact the appropriate age class manager to request a late registration. Late registrations are not guaranteed entry, but our team will accommodate if possible. For more information on tournament registration policies including costs, late entries, and refund/cancellations, check out the 2025 Competition Regulations on our Club General Info page, under 2025 Competition Regulations & Season Planning.

Signing & Tryouts Feedback

Volleyball Alberta would like your feedback on the 2024 LOI and Tryout Process. Your input is extremely valuable to us and recognize this is integral to improving the process to best meet the memberships' needs. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Season Schedule

Some previously “TBD” tournament locations have been updated in the 2025 Indoor Season Schedule, available on our Club General Info page under 2025 Competition Regulations & Season Planning. Volleyball Alberta staff are working diligently to confirm facilities for the two remaining tournaments with TBD locations and we appreciate your patience while we finalize these important event logistics.

The Volleyball Alberta screening designates are working on PIA approvals and Membership activations as quickly as possible to change the “awaiting approval status” to “active” after verifying each of the mandatory requirements: CRC, SST & SDF, so that clubs can roster everyone they need before the first roster lock (Jan. 24, 2025).

What helps us is if coaches make sure that their CRC is completed and shared with Volleyball Alberta and their club by logging in to Sterling myBackCheck.com account (start a new check now if it is expired or expiring in-season), and make sure that your SST training is completed in The NCCP Locker.

You can read more about the PIA approvals and Membership activation process on our website, here: https://www.volleyballalberta.ca/persons-in-authority/

COMMUNITY

TEAM ALBERTA

GMTM is our platform to apply for Indoor & Beach Team Alberta Identification Camps.

The applications opened on December 2nd, 2024.

Team AB ID camps are by invitation only and the application through GMTM must happen in order for this to take place. Once an application is uploaded, an athlete can come back and edit their videos/information. Coaches will review applications and invites to the ID camps will be sent a few weeks prior to the scheduled camp. We have added our Beach programs to this platform as well and would encourage any interested Team AB beach athletes to also apply through GMTM.

Visit our Team Alberta webpages for more specific information on dates and locations of our ID camps and plans for tryouts and training:
