The Grace of Giving

Dear Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! As I consider my many blessings and give thanks for God’s goodness in my life, I am especially thankful for the gift of St. Paul’s—for the love, faithfulness, joy, and generosity that exude from this community. I give thanks for the warm welcome, support, and kindness of this congregation, and for the privilege of making a home and raising a family in this incredibly special place.

As a tangible act of faith and thanksgiving, Julia and I plan to joyfully pledge a portion of our household income for the coming year to support both the ongoing operations and the long-term health of this parish. In so doing, we are following the impulses of our hearts and offering an outward and visible expression of our deep gratitude. I hope you will join us in this movement of grace and giving which is so vital to the health of our community.

Still thinking about your commitment for 2025? It’s not too late! To make a pledge, a one-time or recurring contribution online, please visit our website at https://stpaulschurchmobile.com/giving

If you’d like to make a year-end gift which will be reflected in your 2024 giving statement, checks should be dated and mailed or hand delivered on or before December 31, 2024. If you would like to make your gift online, please do so on or before 9:00 p.m. CST on December 31. If you are making a gift of stock, the stock should be sold by December 31.

If you have any questions about your pledge, please contact Brenda Ferguson at brenda@stpmobile.com call the church office at 342-8521.

May our collective gifts be always magnified towards God’s higher calling and purposes and may the joy and peace of Christ be with us now and evermore.

Advent blessings,

Jody+

If there are those on your Christmas list who don’t need another “thing,” how about a gift that improves the lives of those in need. The St. Franics Fund of St. Paul’s has been making small grants to non-profits in Mobile for several years. In recent months, we have provided uniforms and field equipment for Soccer 4 Life, a faith-based soccer development program for at-risk young people. Victory Health, a faith-based health care organization providing affordable, quality care for low-income Mobilians, has received grants to pay for a new autoclave and a wireless ultrasound device. The Fund has also supported the work of the Sybil Smith Family Village and the Child Advocacy Center. These small grants make a big difference, and you can help by making donations in honor of a family member or dear friend this Christmas.
