Third grade celebrated the culmination of the Independent Book Project today. We came in costume, dressed as a character in the book they read, and we had a pot-luck lunch with food that the characters might have eaten. We feasted on bacon, raw garlic, pancakes, sandwiches and more desserts than can be named! We showed off our dioramas, movies, powerpoint projects and written assignments (which will soon hang in the hallway.) Stop by and take a look!
As we near the end of year, we would like to say "thank you" to everyone who continued to make Peabody an amazing place for students to learn and grow.
We are asking for your support again this year. As is common in independent schools, tuition does not cover the cost of a Peabody education. The Annual Fund is critical in helping us retain our amazing teachers, provide financial aid to families, and to make sure that we have the most up to date resources available to our students. Please
support our school!
Thank you to everyone (
donor roll) who has already made a gift! We are aiming for 100% participation from our families. For more information about the Annual Fund, please
Peabody School’s Lower School report cards were redesigned during the 2015-2016 school year to more accurately reflect the expectations we hold for our students and the ways in which students are assessed. To learn more, please click here.

Way to Go Middle School Students!
We are very proud of our Middle Schoolers for powering through a busy week of projects, tests and quizzes. To end this busy week, students celebrated with hot chocolate and cookies yesterday afternoon.
Congratulations to our Basketball teams for their first games of the season. Our girls team hustled all over the court! Our boys team is thrilled to currently be undefeated. Go Panthers!
Congratulations to Julia Nagel who auditioned and was accepted in to the All-District band. This ensemble is comprised of students from 11 counties and cities in central Virginia.
