ATTENTION Preschool Parents:
Remember, if your child stays for aftercare, you will now be picking them up from the hallway outside the cafeteria. Please tell the desk aide who you are picking up and we will bring your child(ren) to you. Please be patient as we work out the kinks of this new procedure. We are
trying to increase the safety of all our students. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Principal Gayle Trachsel (gtrachsel@stpeterjc.org) or ASC Director Betsy Bartow

Hello! My name is Kate Zumwalt and this is my 9th year of teaching. While I have taught various grade levels including pre-k, 1st, 4th, and 6th grades, I currently teach 4th grade.
I was born and raised here in Jefferson City! I attended St.Joseph Cathedral School, Helias Catholic High School, and then Lincoln University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. This past summer, I graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with my Master's degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Administration.
I married my high school sweetheart, Taylor in 2017 and we have two children, Charley and Cooper. We love spending time outside so in our free time, you can find us fishing, riding bikes, and going on nature walks. I also enjoy a nice cup of coffee and praying the Rosary- my favorite prayer!
I am proud to be a part of St. Peter School and Parish! I enjoy meeting and working with all of the wonderful families! Wishing everyone a wonderful rest of the school year ahead!

Dear St. Peter Families,
Our theme for Catholic Schools Week this January is a continuation of our school theme: What Would Jesus Do? We would like to invite St. Peter's adult family members to consider if they have a talent they can teach to our students. If you feel called by the Holy Spirit to teach your talent, here are the details to consider:
What can you teach?: hair styling, gymnastics, gardening, baking/cooking, art or craft, dancing, acting, day in the life of your job (police, firefighter, etc...)
When: Friday, January 31st-one or two sessions of your activity from approximately 8:30-10:30.
Who: You can determine whether your activity is appropriate for younger or older students.
Where: You will teach the activity in a classroom or the appropriate space in the school building. A teacher/staff member will be in the room with you to supervise and assist.
How: Please send your name, an activity you would like to teach, and any questions you have concerning materials needed and logistics to Mrs. Garner at sgarner@stpeterjc.org no later than January 10th.
All volunteers must be compliant with Virtus.

TO BE AN “ACTIVE” CATHOLIC STEWARD MEANS:
- To Pray: that is, attend Mass faithfully in the parish on weekends and Holy Days.
- To Participate: that is, to use one’s time and talents to strengthen the parish community and advance the Gospel.
- To Sacrificially Give: that is, pledge and remain current on a tithe of financial first fruits to support the life and ministries of the parish. The goal is 8% to the parish and 2% to other worthy charities.
