The Board of Seneca Past and Present hopes that your holiday season has been a good one so far!  At this time of goodwill, don't forget to connect with your alma mater and support the students of today.  Don't miss the next Seneca Past and Present meeting on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 6:00pm.  The meeting will be held in the cafeteria at school.  It is a very busy time of year for most people but you won't regret showing your support for Seneca High School and today's students by spending a little time getting involved.  Come join us!
Recruitment, Recruitment, Recruitment!!

I encourage you to call me and offer to help with SP&P membership. What I would like to have is someone to pursue members from their graduating class to become members of the alumni group. My goal is to have at least one person to volunteer for each class and report back to me any progress they have made.

If you want to have fun connecting with people from your class, then this is the an opportunity you don't want to miss.....come join SP&P and help the membership committee make a difference for the future.....!!!!!!!!

What are we doing?

Recently, Seneca Past and Present donated money to provide Attendance Incentives.  We also donated some funds to assist the Step Team with competition entrance fees.

Our next big project will involve improving the technology available to students.  That project is still in the planning stages but it is coming so - be ready!

B - I - N - G - O!

If you like bingo, come out and play on Sunday nights at midnight or on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.  If you don't play bingo, come and visit us at Sunshine Bingo on Outer Loop and show your support for Seneca Past and Present.

Upcoming Musical

The Fine Arts Department (Theater, Instrumental and Vocal Music) are collaborating on "FAME, The Musical".  Performance dates are Wednesday - Saturday, April 16-19, 2014.  All school auditions were recently held and at least 96 scholars came to try for a part.  55 students were cast.  They have received either a script, score and CD so that they can familiarize themselves with the play and the music over the Winter break.  Music/vocal rehearsals will begin during the month of January.  The choreography will be done in February, and the Blocking will take place in March.  We will do run-through rehearsals by the end of March and open by the 2nd week after Spring Break.

Tickets are $7.00 adults and $5.00 for students.  Tickets will be available starting in March from any cast/crew member or the Fine Arts teachers or at the door.  There may be a themed "Gala" dinner again this year.  It went very well last time. Tickets for the "Gala" dinner will be $15 in advance and will include Dinner and preferred seating.

Any questions, please feel free to call Harolynn Harris at 485-6262 or email her at [email protected].

See you at the show!
