Himalayan Pink Coarse
Sea Salt
The Spice Lab sources only the finest quality 100% natural salt, hand-mined deep in the Himalayan Mountains from salt beds formed in the Jurassic era, more than 250,000,000 years ago. Our Himalayan salts are mined from dark pink crystals, the finest quality Himalayan Salt available. The dark crystals have the most minerals and nutrients. This salt is 2-3 mm, about the size of table salt. The Himalayan salt beds formed in the Jurassic era when large seas dried out. The massive salt flats where covered up through the ages, they became locked deep in the earth. Local weather, erosion and water leached minerals into the berried salt, imparting minerals color and taste. This gourmet salt is pure, hand-mined deep inside the pristine Himalayan mountains. The high mineral content of the Himalayan salt crystals range in color from sheer white to varying shades of pink to deep reds. The darker the color the more minerals are in the salt.

Black Cherry & Basil Marinated Lamb Chops
Ingredients
- 10 Lamb Rib Chops
- 1/2 cup Basil Infused Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Black Cherry Infused Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon Rosemary (Fresh And Chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- dash Sea Salt
- dash Pepper
Directions
Place lamb chops in resealable bag. Whisk together basil olive oil, black cherry balsamic, garlic, rosemary, honey, brown sugar, dijon, oregano, salt and pepper and pour over the chops. Toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight (at least 18 hours).
Grill chops over medium high heat until browned to desired darkness. Serve with your favorite side dishes.

Mulled Port and Lemon Chiller
If you find that mulled wine is too heavy for your taste, try this refreshing alternative Christmas beverage
Ingredients
- 1 bottle Port wine (Vita Sana's highlighted Quinta do Noval Black Port)
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- 2 star anise (optional)
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 bottle your favorite lemonade
Directions
Using a peeler, pare thin strips of zest from the orange and lemon. Squeeze the juice. Put the zests and juice into a large saucepan, then add the Port, spices and small amount of lemonade. Simmer very gently for 20 mins, then leave to cool completely. To serve, 'frost' the glasses if desired
, put ice and slices of orange and lemon in each glass, then carefully pour in equal quantities of the Port and lemonade. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and strip of lemon zest.

Are a blend of spices used in drink recipes and are very popular during fall and winter. This are typically used to spice hot apple cider, mulled wines or juices. The combination of spices varies, but usually consists of cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg; and less frequently star anise, peppercorn or cardamom. Some blends may also include dried fruits, such as, raisins, apples or orange rinds.
